| | | ghostarm | 06-08-2011 11:32 AM | 10 Low DSR from 1 buyer i am a UK seller, keep 100% + FB.
last month there is a buyer, altogether bought 20 items from me.
at the beginning the feedback and DSR is good, no problem at all. however, at the later stage, he suddenly left me 4 low DSR in postage charge. i blocked him from bidding. and then he left me another 6 low DSR in postage and 6 low DSR in commumication. but all + FB.
i have to say he has not ever email me once. never contacted me for anything.
i suddenly turn from above standard powerseller to below standard. my listing are now all at the far bottom
i called ebay and asked for investigation. they simply told me that there is no sign of policy beach from the buyers, and they won't further discuss as DSR is annoymous.
what should i do now? |
| GreenBean | 06-08-2011 07:25 PM | No, you are in HongKong selling on UK ebay. Your IP is from HONGKONG so that is what your flag must show.
It's not up for discussion. You can be on holiday there, living there, doing whatever you like there. :boink:
Moving on:
Did you attempt to contact the buyer when you got the 1st poor DSR?
What actions did you take?
Did you not wonder why ONE buyer was buying so much from you?
Could that buyer have been a competitor?
Value of items & what steps you took apart from blocking buyer needed to assist more :pop2: |
| LadyLover | 06-08-2011 08:01 PM | I hope all turns out well :pop2: |
| ghostarm | 06-10-2011 01:55 AM | as soon as i got the 1st 4 low rating on postage; i then called ebay twice, talked to 2 different agents. they just told me that there is no breach at all.
when i got the next 12 low rating, i called again; and same answer.
and it is normal that buyer buy many 20 items from me. and actually in the first 10 transaction it seems no problem with this buyer. i searched on the web but it seems that there is no sign of this buyer, i don't know if he is a competitor.
i guess i would have no way out; i feel depressed as i work hard just ruined by the option of 1 buyer only. |
| GreenBean | 06-10-2011 04:16 AM | I am sorry your hard work got damaged like that. It is not right.
But you never got in contact with the buyer at all?
ebay just allows buyers to damage accounts.
When these things happen ebay are no help.
What options have you ever thought to give buyers who buy mulitple items?
I dont know your selling plan but there may be stuff to think to do.
Multiple accounts
freebies for some buyers
Am sure we can find something to work for you :peace: |
| duongdynasty | 08-18-2011 03:55 AM | Maybe its time to make more stealth accts so when one gets bad, you still have back ups. Try to do more research on him if hes doing this to other people selling the same items too. If that's the case, you would have more evidence. Also try to see if hes doing anything that violates ****'s policy at all (buying feedback, etc). If his acct gets suspended, doesn't the DSR's come off? I know fb comes off for sure, I am thinking DSR might come off too. |
| Melissa1971 | 08-18-2011 10:15 PM | I'd Google his real name and add the words ebay or amazon. Try both
It may come up with some info
In the meantime, go into your buyer restrictions and ensure the same person
cannot buy more than once from you. He may have a sockpuppet who will
start buying from you doing the same thing, he may be a competitor as already
mentioned.
And note where he lives. If it is Alaska or Hawaii, block those two States. At least for a time
Possibly request his personal info to contact him by telephone. Explain how
damaging that is to your account
You are allowed a max 5 feedback revision requests per yr depending upon
sales. Offer a partial refund possibly on a few of his items to get back your
DSRs & discount. Do the math, i$ it worth the time?
just some ideas... |
| KingRay | 08-18-2011 10:20 PM | Someone on here in the last month posted a thread about being suspended or restricted for giving low DSR's and positive feedbacks too often. You might check on that and see what all can be done.
I know they were suspended for doing so because ebay suspected foul play. Might be worth the research.
I will try and find the thread and post the link on here. Maybe that person can help you from what they learned on their end. |
| audiosoft | 05-23-2012 10:40 AM | Could be a buyer from your competitor, this happens too. Let's not rule out the possibility.
Or could be a normal buyer just not to sure which stars to leave, you must always make a point to contact your buyer after shipment to explain him how important your 5star feedbacks are for your business. |

Someone once offered me money to trash his competitor's DSR. He wants me to leave positive feedback so I won't get block by his competitor and able to continue to buy from that seller. Of course I turn down his offer. |
