Refunded but buyer gave NEUTRAL!!!

I got a buyer complaint there is a problem with the product bought. After some discussion buyer decided to accept my refund without having the item return to me. However after that buyer still left me Neutral Feedback.

1) Can I email eBay explain to them and ask them to take away the feedback? Will they accept it?

2) Also how bad will neutral feedbacks affect my account? Will get limited?

lucky you did not get a negative

some buyers would want to leave you a neg but are not horrible tw@ts so they leave a neutral to say was not satisfied but it was not a total nightmare

yes you can ask them to review the feedback, they do not have to accept it

neutral does not affect your feedback percentage as a positive/negative does, but if they gave you poor dsr`s then it could be a problem

check them and see if there is a low dsr from the transaction,if they are okay i would not bother asking the buyer to change the neutral, but it is a slight blemish but i do not think it will affect your sales

How many threads do you want to make on this topic?

Dont tell me it's TWO buyers :faint:

OP explained it's 2 buyers giving troubles :pop2:

Thank you for explaining. But I have sent a request for feedback revision on this neutral...will it counts if the buyer reject it or expired? (5 revision per-year?)

I have found that pestering buyers to change neg to postive can lead to neutral. It's part of the sales game, just keep the service up and hope for the best.

Thank rsot...But may I also ask since I have already activated the request for feedback change if the buyer decline or it expired will the 5 revision per-year count? thanks!

I would assume so, or else every seller would send a request for every bad feedback in hopes of getting it changed.

It's not 5 per year, it doesn't roll over. Here's the info from Ebays site cut and pasted

You can submit 5 Feedback revision requests for every 1,000 Feedback you've received in the past 12 consecutive months. High-volume sellers (who earn more than 1,000 Feedback per year) can send more requests

When can I submit a Feedback revision request?
• Once you've resolved any problems, you can submit a Feedback revision request as long as you haven't reached your limit and the Feedback is less than 30 days old.

Melissa1971 08-29-2011 12:01 PM

You will be able to leave a follow up comment. It will show up on their page with a wide space automatically drawing attention to it, not as much as a neg or neutral but generally it stands out well enough.

It could be considered a policy violation to warn future Sellers in a follow up comment because technically it is a policy violation to do so in feedback. But this isn't a feedback, it's technically a comment left to the feedback left. Feedback is the initial rating of Pos, Neutral or Neg

Buyer can't reciprocate out of spite because they left you neutral/neg. BUT it may be best NOT to do this, for many reasons. I've only done it once

Alright...now I get it but like I said I have talked to the buyer and send in the request...however buyer hasn't respond to it yet. What I am asking since it's only a neutral feedback should i continue to ask buyer to change it or let it expired so that I wont use my ' 5 Feedback revision requests' so soon? Meaning: will it count even it has expired? Thanks again!

Melissa1971 08-29-2011 01:11 PM

I don't know if it counts, sorry

GTB 08-29-2011 01:54 PM

probably will count,as it is a request

5 revision requests it states

you have made the request now so you may aswell see it through

dont bombard the buyer with loads of messages, just send one or two polite messages asking them if they could change the neutral to a ositive as it may affect your business and you are sorry about the issue and it will not happen again!

JRYAN34 08-29-2011 07:48 PM

stop bitching about neutral

Sandy D 08-29-2011 09:59 PM

At this point you need to do some sweet talking and see if it works.

Good luck.
