-40$ remain 100% or not.. HELP!!?

Well, I messed up and its costing me.
I mixed up two shipment a Palm Pilot and a Wii, Anyways They both eventually send back, Wii guy doesnt want it anymore, the other guy persists on sending emails telling me to delay the shipment and such.

Anyways so i send the palm pilot to the original guy and he claims it is missing the accesories that are clearly shown in my pics, so he wants a 40$ refund out of the 80$ it was,

When i got the palm pilot back i looked in the box and everything was like original , even reweighed it.

He says " I don't even have need for the accessories and i have bought others of this model before, so if you culd just refund me half or we will have to go through paypal " , THEN WHY WOULD YOU BID IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Im assuming this guy is just annoyed i messed up the original order. That cost me about like 50$ in shipping already, NO way do i feel like refunding this guy. I have 100% feedback around 160. I was just wondering is feedback the only, negative effect this would have on me If i dont comply with this buyer. Or is ebay gonna be all over me

You can ask him to return it. But he is naturally going to take out the "missing" stuff. So a resale is not great.

He can leave negative on a perfect account. It sucks after all this to get screwed over. But think long term. He can file a SNAD and you lose anyway. And still get a neg...

Try negotiate. Ask him if $25 is fair. Pay it and move on

Bottom line, and it sucks, is being right doesnt mean much

If you can try to speak to the buyer, eating a lot of humble pie.

Like pod suggested, try to deal it down to $25.

Regardless, as you admitted, you did muck up the order. Do what you can to resolve it.
Learn from it.
Re-do your shipping plans. Try not to be distracted when doing your packaging.
Good Luck :D

Its hard to think of this outside of "I'm getting screwed". Believe me, been there. For a lot more...

But better to think about the time and money you have put into the account. Is 30 or 40 bucks worth standing your ground?

And right or wrong, you did screw up the order. Bite the bullet and move forward
