| | Best items/lowest price to buy to gain feedback? Hi,
apologies if this is an obvious question but i have a new ebay with zero feedback.
What cheap items can i buy to boost my feedback and if they are so low priced is it 'allowed' to contact the seller and request that they don't send the item but just give a positive feedback? |
| Thankful | 03-25-2012 07:20 AM | You see rsot is so smart - it's almost scary :nerd: |
Great, thansk for that.
Can i ask, whilst im waiting for my verification process to go through, can i get funds sent to me and buy with thise funds or is getting funds sent to me before im even paypal verified likely to throw up a flag? |
| Thankful | 03-25-2012 09:25 AM | Don't!!
Act like your in the shoes of a new person to e/b, just get verified first, always play it safe mate. |
| yotano211 | 03-26-2012 03:08 AM | Sell coins, even new US pennys are selling for me. |

Do you want this new stealth account to last?
I'm hoping the reply is yes.
A 'new' user would not think of contacting a seller like that.
Your luck would be to get a self-righteous seller who reports you.
Such behaviour is dangerous to YOU.
Start training yourself to 'think stealth and think carefully' ;) |
@tanxful, "smart"? Yeah right but tanx for the support.
Yes get verified first and - if you can - use a cc to buy items, don't just drain pp funds. |
| BubbleTea | 04-08-2012 05:11 PM | Another qn but somewhat relevant I guess, will it raise flags if a new account buys a bunch of £0.01 auctions stuff? |

| You dont get into problems for this - seriously? |
| KoltiKolt | 04-18-2012 04:56 AM | now penny auctions are blocked by ebay. you cannot use words: 1 cent penny auction in the title. if you do you get a violation and possible account suspension. I am not sure how to list now to increase visibility of those cheap random items.. could anyone advise please? |
| yotano211 | 04-19-2012 02:53 AM | I try not to sell pennys that much for the low value. I try to keep it to dime, 10 cents and higher. But I never put "penny auction" or the value of the coin that I am listing. I just put the year of the coin and what country it came from, and some fun facts of where the coin was made from. Like the mint of where it was made and facts about the printing mint.
Lots of people like to collect the newest coins. If you need coins, head to your bank and get a roll of new coins. You can do it when you withdraw money from the atm or when your near any bank. Even if your not a customer there, but it's better if your a customer. Coins cost banks money to get. |

Do old notes in old condition sell too?
Do you sell internationally or only within your country?
I guess there will be more interest from people overseas.
I am concerned with the customs issues.
How do you ship the items overseas if you do, and which countries have been ok?
Thanks. |
| yotano211 | 04-19-2012 05:47 AM | I see people selling notes all the time but they are mostly older notes. I only sell coins to get some "safe" feedback then I am done. I tend to stop at around 10-15 feedback.
I only sell within the US cuz I want to get the fastest shipment possible which equals to faster feedback. I could try selling international but I don't bother too.
Or you just could sell shipping supplies like bubble mailers or shipping boxes. I have heard those are almost guaranteed solid feedback. The buyers are sellers themselves and always give feedback. |

I can't see why people in US would want to buy US coins, unless you're selling them at a loss and their profit. |
| yotano211 | 04-19-2012 07:45 AM | I am doing US coins. Lots of people collect coins, I only do it for the feedback. Most people know its for feedback so I dont have to send them the coin. |
I hear that yotano - solid info. |

They buy your coin but you don't send them the coin??
And how do they know its for feedback.
There are as many newbies on eBay as people who know what its about.
And why would they buy from you when they're not getting the coin but just to leave you feedback?
I'm very puzzled. |
| Throb-n-Rod | 04-21-2012 12:59 AM | This is what I do to get FB and lift some of the restrictions so you can rock on. Do an advanced search, Type in some stuff to search for like free, a, and, one, 1, each,... then check the box to search in both title and description. Chose items priced between 0.01 and 0.06. Ending withing the hour. Paypal accepted. Free shipping,
Do a search, save the search it should pull up about 400 listing ending within the hour, I just move from one to the next sniping them. easy to do while watching tv. all china made stuff but they ship it all I make a single payment for 20 or 30 at a time. Go ahead and leave feedback right away and 80% of them will leave you FB within 12 hours. contact the rest and request them to leave you FB.
Easy way to get 100 FB's in 3 to 5 days for just a couple of dollars. I buy a Green a dot card and fund the Paypal account for the new ebay account with 20 to 100 bucks to get started knowing you will have to buy some FB's and fund shipping once you start selling being they hold your money 20 days. |

Many say that you should not buy so many penny auctions as it will flag your account.
Sure, its easy to buy lots of cheap feedback.
Its Big Brother we're worried about. |
| GreenBean | 04-21-2012 04:20 AM | I agree with you BubbleTea. I dont 'like' the idea of aything that might flag a new account.
BigBrother ebay will be watching soon enough whe we sell.Where's teh point of starting that sooner :juggle:
With new accounts I allow a budget of £50/$80.
That allows a good variety of items. I select stuff I can use. ( Including on selling with another new account LOL ).
I dont know if you've seen this older thread? I really dont think it is outdated. http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-fe...-feedback.html |
| audiosoft | 05-23-2012 10:32 AM | Buy low priced items from Hongkong sellers, they usually have a subsidy on their shipments and sell items priced at $0.01 - $0.99, go for them and build feedbacks, I don't think many people will just leave a feedback without shipment. That's a lot of work. |

That's a lot of work. | Yea, you can even have it sent to a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address. Since it wont be returned the just treat as abandoned. After you leave them feedback they usually leave it right back for them. I use do this to get 10 to 15 feedback over the course of a month or two before I register to sell on a new stealth account. |
| Brainbuster | 08-19-2013 11:37 PM | Am I correct in assuming that most of you are not using or receiving the items you buy? They just are shipped to your address on Ebay's file?
Except Greenbean, who said he buys stuff he can use. I assume he uses a P.O. Box or something similar.
The apartment next door to me is and has been vacant for the year I've lived here. Could this come in useful in the future? |

| Best practice is to have access to the address on file with ebay, unless you don't care about the items your buying. Quote:

| Just a little side note, Greenbean is a Woman.... Quote:

| It could work as long as no one is there to intercept the package(s).
If you really are looking to have a buying account then best to have access to the address.
The idea of buying items and having them shipped to some random address just isn't ideal and frankly dumb. |

| Brainbuster | 08-22-2013 07:32 PM | Or another idea is to get hired as a postal carrier.
Then you can always intercept the packages you ordered yourself but sent to various real addresses.
Reason I'm thinking of this now is that I just accidentally won an auction, over $100.
There was 2 days left and over 50 bids...I was sure somebody would bid some more over me.
Looking closer, there were only 9 other bidders.
Just contacted the seller and asked whether I could pick it up locally. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:32 PM. | |
