eBay + Stupid People = Neu. Feedback!
 

Here is one for MY record book, (I'm sure there are others who have had worse).

Sold an Apple iPod Shuffle on 8/2/08,(purchase was made early Sat. night), to a guy in FL. He paid for it right away. Shipped the iPod on 8/4/08. This item was shipped via Parcel Post. All my customers have a postal choice when going thru checkout and he picked parcel post because it's cheaper. On 8/6/08 he leaves me neutral feedback stating that he received the docking station ONLY and is still waiting for the iPod. Then he sends me an email, (this is word for word), 'I was wondering how the sale went and I only received the docking station. Please call me'

At this point I am confused because I wasn't sure what he ment by "how the sale went" and I was not sure why he would only receive the docking station when I was the one who packaged his item and I KNOW what I placed in the box. So I call.................

The whole time I'm dialing and waiting for him to answer his phone I have a million things running thru my head. My feedback score was 100% until he left his neutral. Now it's 97.4%!!!! I only had 64 but they were all positive. I also know that there is no way he can remove his feedback since eBay changed their policy.

Finally, Captain Discovery answers the phone! I tell him who I am and ask him what exactly he received. He states that all he got IN THE ENVELOPE was a docking station. I then ask him if he has bought from anyone else on eBay or the internet around the same time he bought from me and he states no.

I then tell him that there is NO way that docking station came from me because:

1) I packaged it myself and all of my iPods have white paper wrapped around the box they come in. You have to peel the paper back in order to see the color of the iPod. I REMEMBER packaging his iPod.

2) I DO NOT ship iPods in envelopes.

And #3) When I tracked his package thru USPS AND PayPal.....ready for this? IT HADN'T EVEN BEEN DELIVERED YET!!!!!

When I explained this to him he then blames eBay! I would really like to blame eBay too but they had nothing to do with it. I asked him if he still had the envelope that the docking station came in and he said no but he would dig thru his trash and try to find it!

WHAT A MESS!

Anyway, I just needed some venting time and hopefully this will make a few people laugh.

Anyone else with a "Stupid Person Moment" please share. I need a few laughs too. :p

Just read a few IMJUSTME's post. That's eBay customers for you. :)
