feedback - a joke!

I sent an item recently and the buyer (after a week) left negative feedback saying item not received. I checked the tracking & it showed item was signed for. I contacted ebay to change the feedback and provided the tracking & postcode - they are are refusing to change it & won't discuss why. They are a complete joke :nono:

Re: feedback - a joke!

Might as well respond to the feedback with something to at least show this person is a scammer.

Have you tried contacting the buyer?

They may have left the feedback in error, it may have been meant for another seller, it happens sometimes.

tried contacting them- no reply. They are a new seller with less than 10 feedback & obv clueless. This sort of thing should not be happening. I will celebrate so much when ebay eventually get wiped out by a competitor.

contact customer support to get rid of this feedback - should be fine if you have proof of signed for delivery

The OP did try to contact them.
Ebay refused.

Kind of like what under armour was doing to Nike.
Kind of like what wcw nitro was doing to WWF raw.

Eb was the first of its kind, created by a visionary, sold to a cooraperation, now being run like amazon.

EB up until 2010 was much better.
Back to OP tho... sounds like guy who purchased from you, frauded you, just to harm your fb rating.

Well - if you cant solve this...boost your account with fast low end items that will sell - kick the negative feedback by boosting the positive ratio

Keep in mind that ebay will not always remove incorrect feedback.

Major problem.

Re: feedback - a joke!

I have had 2 instances where eBay had removed feedback due to shipping.

The first was an item shipped to Israel. This person was trouble to begin with, but I was willing to believe something was lost in translation. 2 weeks later this person starts messaging me, being demanding and really ticking me off . So we argue back and forth. I am still being nice at this point and pretty much just taking the hassles. USPS said they couldn't track it after it left the US.

The customer said he never received it and left me negative feedback. I felt that he did receive it and was trying to rip me off. So I replied to his feedback with "Seller beware, international scam artist". About a month later, the package is returned to me because the address was incorrect. I contacted eBay about the package being returned due to improper address. They immediately took the negative feedback off.

The second was a domestic ship. Again this guy never contacts me to tell me there is an issue. One day I see his negative feedback "ordered 2 weeks ago, still have not received". First of all, I try to give good service, the next day if not the same day. I am "Mr. Customer Service"!!! About 2 weeks later I get the item back in the mail. I call eBay tell them this clown left the wrong address on eBay. They took off the neg feedback immediately.

I think if you contact eBay repeatedly, you'll eventually find someone to remove it and side with you. That is all long as the negative feedback implies that they never received the item that you have proof that they did.

Sorry for the long story, but I hope it helps!

Re: feedback - a joke!

I had some idiot leave me neg feedback yesterday, listed something at auction worth £10 and it sold for only £2, they got a bargain.

The item arrived damaged and instead of contacting me and letting me know where I would allways give full refund straight away, the buyer made no contact and just left neg feedback.
I tried contacting them no reply, they've only had their account 2 months and got 3 feedback.
Winds me up these types.

Sounds like a competitor.

Re: feedback - a joke!

that's terrible for someone to do that to you and screw eBay for not fixing it for you

Re: feedback - a joke!

I did learn this the hard way. Never send messages asking for feedback. Either it happens or it don't. If you do go that route, even though it is now harder I would try to peek through their previous feedback left for other and received etc.

Re: feedback - a joke!

id be curious to look through your buyers feedback and see if it mentions what he sold, could very well be a competitor trying to slow down your success and get more attention on his account

calling a buyer is always the quickest way to get a situation resolved

Re: feedback - a joke!

If this buyer is a scammer, his/her account will eventually get suspended (with or without your help) and then the neg feedback will be removed.

Only if contact gets made.

Did you not notice the OP said he could not get in contact with the buyer?

:juggle:

a.v.limited 02-19-2014 07:39 AM

probably meant email as this is what sellers normally do

I thought buyer fb only removed if they are a new buyer and then they are banned

Re: feedback - a joke!

For someone posting as much as you are 'limited, you are coming out with a lot of rubbish.

ebay has always reserved the rights to deal with feedback removal should they see fit.
Sure a new buyer may cause feedback removal.

If other circumstances, prevail, feedback can be removed.

Each case differs.

Re: feedback - a joke!

you misunderstand what I mean, if a new buyer starts up and leaves feedback and if there account is closed then the feedback they have left often gets removed as well
