Chances of feedback removal in this scenario

Earlier today I had some buyer leave seemingly positive feedback (Comment ‘Thanks’) as negative, he also left the same for 2 other sellers exactly the same. He has been a member since 2002.

I have messaged him via eBay and sent a revision request with no reply as of yet.
I’ve responded to the feedback so other potential buyers see it as a mistake.

Just incase this fool doesn't reply what chances will it be removed under this policy:
warning ebay link
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/...ipulation.html

“In addition to these guidelines, we’ll remove Feedback from buyers that show patterns of disproportionately high rates of low Feedback and/or detailed seller ratings.”

3 negative ‘thanks’ feedback left in the space of a minute for me and 2 other sellers - Do I have a chance of getting them to remove it under this policy? – Any opinions / thoughts are welcome ,thank you.

Since it doesn’t meet this other stupid policy, I am hoping I can use the one above.

This type of Feedback isn't removed:
Negative Feedback left by a buyer when the comment is neutral or isn't clearly positive. Short, ambiguous comments from a buyer such as "thanks"

Worth a shot - nothing is 100% but buyer can say Thanks and still feel negative about it.

I would try but - if it doesnt work, up your sales with free shipping cheap items and push the negative out of the main list of feedback

was under impression if he leaves low dsrs in all categories and a positive fb it is removable, but if he leaves 1 higher mark it may not be

Thanks, I'm hoping the other sellers also put pressure on him to revise, assuming they are suppose to be positive 'thanks'.

Will update post should it be revised / removed.

Re: Chances of feedback removal in this scenario

One of the other sellers ended up contacting me funny enough. They are calling eBay tomorrow. I will roll the dice with the 'report' function, 1/10 chance I will get someone sane.

The third seller, I doubt they will care since they get 1000+ positives / 4 negatives month average.

The idiot buyers phone number is disconnected, against eBay's policy - but they seem to have reworded the feedback removal part, previously they would remove feedback by buyers whom didn't have a valid phone number. Now they don't which is a load of BS.

The guys email has him working at a council, so I have no doubt I will track him down, be it worst case scenario revenge time.

Always be careful of other sellers too - ESPECIALLY if they are in your niche market...

If the buyer left a lot of negatives in a short period of time you do have a better chance of getting it removed

Also I had this happen and other sellers who were left a negative contacted me and we all used the report button on the feedback page

The button may be a little safer to use than calling in, but either way before doing so make sure your account is in order because both the buyer and your account will now be in the spot light, and the buyer has a nice old aged account which makes it harder to fight .

Just few things to consider before reporting a buyer ,, remember when u report a buyer you actually are reporting your selling account as well

Good luck

So did they remove yours?

--------

Got a reply from the buyer, very vague reply "Bracelet was too small, was for a present, they were too polite to say"

Pretty much sums up the intellectual ability of this nut. Measurements were listed in size 14 bold.
Never contacted after receiving, waits almost 60 days to leave negative.

Now awaiting reply from eBay, not holding my breath. Account is in good standing, was actually 'rewarded' a listing increase that morning too 200/13,500 ironically. 4.9 DSR across the board.

--------

DELETED

Why would you upset me or anyone else on the forums? Doing stupid stuff like that only hurts yourself.

Re: Chances of feedback removal in this scenario

Yes the negative was removed without calling ! It was 3 sellers that the buyer left a negative to within days, the other sellers contacted me so there were either 3 or 4 different "report Buyer" claims

It took 3 to 4 weeks
