called ebay to get a feedback removed... they said 24 to 48h.
 

Anyone ever get that 24 to 48 hours routine yet?

I had a customer wonderful who got their item then told me they never got it as tracking shows and were trying to get a refund. I told them "No, the product has arrived" she left a negative saying it never got there etc.

I spent 44 minutes on the phone with ebay first time they didn't want to remove it. I felt like wow really?

So I hung up on that agent. I called again within 11 minutes another rep said it will be removed within 24 to 48 hours. Do they really do it that long? I've had it done right on the spot before. But to take 24 to 48 hours?

Sounds like a brush off to me...

That 1st agent might have made comments that are not to your advantage.

I'll call them again and said hey it's been 24 hours it's still there. Maybe the rep can remove it.

That buyer was trying to scam me to get a free product + money refunded.

The last time an eBay rep removed a negative from my account, it happened in a matter of minutes. However, the DSR removal took place after the evaluation date, although the rep said it would happen within 24h.

So, I suggest waiting a bit longer, don't draw too much attention to your account.

I have had a few removed in my time, I even started a thread about it on here.

It is actually true, it can take 24 hours (or maybe more) for the neg to be removed.

However, as others say, often it is immediately.

Don't ask me why, EBay is EBay. Their systems in place are appalling.

I would give it literally a few days and see what happens.

Yeah, I've had dozens removed already within a split second!

I just don't like to wait or feel as they are messing me around.

Not only did the customer lie, and trying to hurt my 1 stealth with 100% feedback of 200+ and almost top rated seller this coming month. I just don't feel I should get that 1 negative because they are trying to scam me. When I get a negative feedback it bugs me the whole day! I get it removed 98% of the time!

It's that magical talk, plus what the buyer says. etc. That comes into play.

I know what you mean. Just make sure any low DSR from that buyer is removed as well, as they are the real pain in the arse.

One of the few good things with the new policy, is that low DSR will no longer be anonymous, so we'll keep track of those much easier. I just hate it when someone leaves me a positive feedback with a low DSR.

Once, I had a buyer who left low DSRs across the entire board (apart from shipping as it's free) and a positive feedback, so I immediately contacted eBay and they cleaned up quickly. :bounce: I wish it was always that easy...

Try through eBay Live Chat. In my experience, they have always helped me.

If an agent brushes you off or acts badly, a good policy for the caller is to try for another agent right away

I know tracking numbers must be update and not ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ones anymore. I wonder how they'll bypass that one!
