How to get feedback from sellers and buyers that sometimes works
 

It can be a pain knowing that you you could have more feedback but most of the time buyers/sellers forget or just dont give it.

So I have devised a method were you will get your feedback 100% from sellers but buyers always seem hesitant if you persist though you get it.

This is what you do as soon as you purchase an item or sell contact them immediately with a message. I have the 2 templates for you that I send below.

Yes I know this is easy but do you actually do it? :noidea:

To sellers

Hi I have just purchased from your store

Feedback is important to me so could you leave me positive feedback as I will do for you.

Thanks

To buyers

Thank you for your purchase.

Some buyers may take offence to being pestered for feedback all the time and report the account.

eBay does not like sellers constantly PMing buyers asking for feedback.

You'll have better luck with something more unique and sincere. Those templates you wrote are what 95% of people are using, they will work, but they're not as effective as say, a more creative message ;)

Nothing works 100% so stop these exaggerations.

There are other methods less sterile that work too.

I wonder if you even found the feedback forum to read over it?

Really ebay does not like it? How does their dislike for this work? Certain number of messages or what do they say or do?

I remember one seller i had, always sticks in my mind
* Thanked me for my purchase
* informed item wrapped up
* informed item was sent

Several more messages giving a detailed plan of where my item.was through the postal.service
Followed by a couple more for feedback.

Very lovely man but found it very overwhelming. In fact, i did leave feedback immediately to avoid anymore from him :lol:

I guess everyone is different. I dont leave feedback till they have first. Just a habit i guess. And even then i dont always do the same back. Every couple of weeks il do a once through them all from the feedbacj section in accounts.

Your product should speak for itself, If you have to pester people for feedback then obviously the product is not as good as you think it is.

I find as a seller that leaving feedback is always the best way to get feedback in return

Some folks just come on ebay to purchase i item then leave never to be heard from again

Then again it all matters if buyer has the correct email on file , sending a message to request feedback may not work if the email on file is invalid or they dont review

I have never had a problem myself, I have just started a new account and in 2 weeks have got my feedback up to 40 already with this method.

That is buying and selling.

Yes my point exactly this is why I contact them.

I contact them through eBay messages they have to receive it.

2 weeks is a very short time to try to draw any conclusions.

After 6 months across 4 or 5 accounts then you can start to see a pattern

You actually have a maximum amount of messages you can send a buyer and a maximum number you can send per day. It is high and almost non of us are going to hit it.

For some reason I remembered 200 to one member but I am not sure.

I prefer to never get feedback. If a buyer leaves feedback it also means they can leave DSR ratings as well.
DRS is based on transaction NOT feedback so the more transaction with no feedback the better. No feeback is a 5 star rating across the board to ebays DRS.

I'm getting a lot of Five Star seller type comments since I added a letter in my packages explaining the ratings & defects system
