Neg feedback left upon order?
 
Today I received my first negative feedback, I went to message the seller and it turns out she ordered late yesterday therefore I haven't even posted it yet?

Feedback states "RIP OFF MERCHANTS SELLING FAULTY GOODS. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS".

Prior to this feedback score was 500 with 100% positive.

My first step I think will be to message to buyer and see if it was a mistake.

But if I get nowhere, is it worth contacting eBay through live help? I know this is not advised.

I would contact the buyer first and see what they have to say

Call the buyer for sure.

I purchased something on Amazon twice and it didn't turn up twice. Left a negative. Had a call offering me £10 if I removed the feedback. This was only yesterday.

I see 2 possibilities:
1. The person left the wrong person negative feedback
2. The buyer is a competitor
I would first contact the buyer and see if they made a mistake, if they decline or give you crap....then contact Ebay immediately, let Ebay know you just sold the item and still in the process of shipping the item.

When I first started selling, I had a competitor buy an item from me and the genius decided to leave me negative feedback the same day he purchased the item :doh:.

it is possibly a mistake?

contact buyer before you send

option is to not send it and contact ebay, stating not sent at time fb left and therefore fb is false.

personally, I would not send it now, unless fb revised, I would cancel rather than have a dispute as well on top of the neg......buyer seems to have a screw loose

Its a competitor for sure, noone would leave something like that to wrong person...

VERY likely to be a competitor. Something like that happened to me and was a competitor.

Just for clarification, she bought the item and left negative feedback before you even had the chance to ship it?

If so, I would contact the buyer, but I would not wait too long. Ebay should be willing to take that negative away really quick.

Contact eBay first and explain your situation. If they answer that they can't help- call one more time and talk to another rep. Standard situation.

Be careful with not shipping because I did that before and just refunded the money to the buyer because they began making threats as soon as they ordered saying if they didn't get the item the next day they'd leave negative feedback.

I ended up with a feedback they wouldn't remove and the buyer refused to cooperate.

call buyer if you cannot work it out call ebay and then if that dont work
just reply to feedback so everyone can see your response to the fathead

Just to update anyone interested.

Turns out the feedback was meant to be for a seller she'd previously purchased the same product off. She apologised and it was removed immediately, I then shipped the order and all is well.

Contact ebay directly via chat or call and you will have that feedback removed very easy. I have had this happened before; it's usually a pissed off buyer or a competitor
