A Seller bought 15 eBooks in 2 days. High risk of getting Suspended?
 

I notice a seller bought 15 ebooks for $1 each in 2 days. How long you think his account will last until he get suspended?

IF it is you, then probably within 10 days espcially if more are purchased. If it is not a forum user, do I care? Nah.:rolleyes:

Feedback manipulation is recognized by ebay: be well aware of this. Gone are

Lol no, its not me. But, I'm guessing it is okay to sell '99 cents ebook' ? I see tons of seller been selling for over 3 months and they seem to be okay. Can anyone confirm? Thank you guys!

Let's try again. NO, not a good idea. The forum has many suspended users who have lost their accounts for feedback manipulation Buying ebooks is that. I am merely offering advice to prevent your coming back to tell me your account was suspended in this way.

Feedback manipulation is not good. I personally found out the hard way on one of my accounts... But my other accounts are still going strong... WHY, because I did not use any manipulation on them. The one I did, got shut down within 5 days of the purchases.

Im not so sure about feedback manipulation, I think they may be relying on "member reporting". I do it with nearly all of my accounts to an extent and sometimes they get suspended but usually they dont. Selling cheap crap for feedback seems to get me suspended much quicker than buying cheap crap.

^^^To a degree. But if the account comes under scrutiny and the FB is from ebooks, chances are more increased about being taken done. There are too many reports from other users here and on other forums to say this is inaccurate.

With ebooks, yes, but feedback manipulation in general ie cheap physical items it seems to be much less the case. Having said that, I recently had one suspnded for selling cheap items at a small loss just to get the acccount up and running, I started very slowly and shipped all the items but they still called it feedback manipulation and suspended me.
Maybe because i had only 5 feedback and the items were selling for less than the Ebay fees, lol. I wasted about $5 sending those items.

This is for every one, to get feedback do this, open a ebay account, buy about 20 ebooks for 1 dollars, and one day later make this account and you will have more than 10 feedback (yellow star). i did this more than 30 time and never had feedback manipulation problems, i think the trick is build the feedback without having a seller account

Please dont try that...buyers and sellers alike eventually get suspended for feedback manipulation. Just get feedback the safe way, why draw unnecessary attention to your account for something so easy.

Bad idea bad. We have had comments from users here and other places where their reason for losing their accounts is because they used this method.:shhh:

It will really upset me when another user comes back here and says 'Oh I tried
to manipulate FB and guess what I lost my account'.:tears:

Its hard to be patient with feedback with a new account if you are relying on Ebay for income and you only have 1 or 2 accounts. Its fine if you have a few up and running and money in the bank but if all your accounts go down simultaenously and you have a house full of stock with no money to pay the bills then pushing that feedback up quickly is a must. I know from bitter experience. Youve just got to do it right.

That may be so. BUT since ebay stopped the good old .99c items, I can assure you that they have made it harder for users. They have labelled the easy way to get FB high as manipulation. In fairness to others I can not recommend doing this. What sort of idiot will it make me when a user comes back, says GreenBean said it is OK to do FB manipulation & I did that with my accounts but now I am suspended?

I just searched "feedback" on ebay,,,
thousands of items,,, and amazingly ALOT of powersellers.
They sell everything EXCEPT ebooks and wall papers.
Pictures, traffic/hits to your website.

Use your imagination to build your feedback: buy a pair of baby socks 50 cents,
a rock from the Grand canyon 25 cents,,, little green army soldier we played with as kids,, 10 cents.

Don't buy ebooks or wall papers. I think recipes was another bad one. "How to Make Mashed Potatoes",,,99cents

Exactly, this way is risk free. Its the way I laways do it and I have never had a suspension from buying this sort of tach. I always send an email to the seller saying do not ship as well as the "buyer" could end up with 20 strange items being delivered to the address, and some sellers put a packing slip in with item numbers/names etc- its unlikely anything would come of this but its probably best to be sure.
Golden rule here, physical goods only, and nothing banned.

boon, NOTHING is risk-free. Your suggestion of sending an email to a buyer is not wise either: get a self-righteous seller who will report the transaction and an account is lost. Stop being so gungho. Your methods may make unnecessary problems for newbies not
as skilled in manipulating.

OK, fair enough nothing is entirely risk free, so dont do it if you are totally unprepared for an account to be lost. Choose the sellers carefully, there are stacks of sellers out there who sell lots of items only for feedback (which is pretty obvious when you see their feedback and the price they get for the items), if you do this enough you'll get to know them and just use the same sellers for each account. If you email these sellers they usually repsond with "we know thanks" or someting along the lines. Go for powersellers selling a large volume of cheap cheap items to boost their feedback, its unlikely these sellers will be too concerned with other users trying to do the same.

I thought eBay shut down eBooks and all forms of digital delivery. You can still buy stuff for a dollar, but I didn't think the download goods could even be posted any more.

Can we just end this thread with the answer to all questions being no - don't do it or do it at your own risk but don't come back here crying about it didn't work in another thread.

sold over 2000 ebooks in 1 week on ebay, the account was blocked after three weeks but it was all profit... about 6hrs a day sending emails. It would be nice to do again, but there are better ways to sell ebooks. If you are doing it for feedback forget it, if you are in it for cash then ok. The number in front of k means more to me than the number of feedbacks. You will get blocked, so if you are going to do it list 50 or more ebooks... make it worth while.
