What if I just don't pay eBay fees?
 

I just got hit with an MC011 restriction...at this point I owe eBay $1100 for the month. I've refunded all my buyers with outstanding complaints. eBay has my real name and real address but nothing to prove that it was I who created the account (someone else could have put my name and address too). They also I think have an EIN I created, which is my big worry. What would happen if I just opened a stealth and ditched the $1100 in fees?

It's pretty obvious what would happen. It will show up as a negative entry on your credit report until you pay the debt. It doesn't matter if there's an EIN or SSN on your eBay. Your real name + address being on the account is enough for them to say it's you and report you to credit agencies and/or sell your debt.

Most users have their SSN on Paypal if anything, but not on eBay. Regardless, tax ID is a non-point in this case.

It will go to collections guaranteed. Then you will probably not give a damn until you need something like a car, house, loan, in which you will end up paying it anyways, and causing you credit to go to **** in the mean time.

$1,100 is kind of material. This will be transferred to a collection agency for sure.
I'll pay that up by installment, just arrange it with eBay.
They have your REAL info dude, stop saying that someone may have used your info.
They can trace you easily.
Be a man, and pay your fees.

Not sure how to quote but how is name and address enough? What if one of your stealth accounts coincidentally matched up with an actual persons info, would eBay go after them? Anyways I know I’m proper ****ed because of the EIN, I might as well pay the fees and do my best to get the account back. I had a couple personal issues pop up and I hit a super high late delivery rate, I’m hoping if I just explain my problem to the reps they’ll understand

I’m hoping they don’t ask for invoices as I make all my stuff on my own, only things I resell are supreme apparel.

Yeah. That's the sad part of these stealth accounts.
Some people are using other real info, and yes Paypal and ebay will go after them, especially with the tax regulations.
Just explain your situation, and promise to pay your fees.

A lot of Fullz being sold at darkweb. They might have our info also, sadly :(

But surely these poor guys don’t have to pay the debt? What’s to stop someone from making an account, racking up a couple hundred of debt, and tossing it on me?

It isn’t. Most of the people on this forum are clueless. You can dispute things on your credit that do not provide sufficient evidence. Not even knowing your ****ing social would be insufficient. If you were running full stealth, then there’s definitely no issues with not paying.

They have the resources in place to come after you. Why bother, pay the bill, start a fresh stealth account and get back to where you were. Isn't that the point of stealth ...

I wouldnt pay it unless you gave them your SSN info or drivers license. Just move on since the account is dead. If anything shows on your credit history, just dispute it because they need SSN to prove its you.

Or you should contact eBay live chat and tell them to deduct as your buyers got there refunds.
