Default Got the 21-day fund limit

I forgot to pay my eBay fees manually, so eBay used my paypal account. No balance on it, so it tried to charge to my bank account. But since the bank account is stealth and disabled, it didn't work.

3 days later, Paypal put the 21-day fund hold thing (the one that new accounts usually get) on my paypal.

Anyone had this happen to them before? What can I do to get the limit off?

Feedback and only feedback will get the limit off. You have had a payment bounce off the bank...not good so you have a slight bad tick mark. You need to work with your ebay and get a lot of good positive transactions to get all standings in order.

Ah, thanks for the quick reply, rsot. Any idea/ballpark range of how many transactions or how long it would take for them to take it off? 100? 2-3 months? I know this is a specific question, just wanted an estimate.

Thanks again

Is the 21 day limit inevitable on all new accounts now regardless of the sale?

Just to clarify, my account was an old 1-year account.

But to answer your question, I believe it is. All the new accounts I've made have gotten the 21 day limit. Not 100% sure though.

In my own experience, I believe the newest account I ever made without a 21 day limit was a fully verified eBay/Paypal account that I let sit about 3-4 weeks or so. After that, I sold without any kind of hold.

Depends on hoe many flags you hit when registering, what king of stuff you are selling, and the type of paypal account receiving the payment. Of the 3 new accounts I just open 2 have had all the first 10 payments held and the other has received 5 payments with no holds yet.
