Suspended For Non Payment of Fees - Advice Needed
 

My original account was suspended for slow shipping DSR's and I have since gone stealth.

Stupidly I owed £100 in fees on my original account, which ive been putting off for the last few weeks. Yesterday I got the debt collection email and have now arranged to pay the fees.

Will they reinstate my account so I can still use it to buy things with?

My main concerns about it are linked accounts. Theres one under the same address, never shared computers or IP addresses, but it has the same address and surname.

Another could be linked as the account was used on the same computer as the suspended account and used the same IP address, but all details such as names and address etc are different.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this, will the other accounts be safe?

If any details are shared between accounts, or logged onto from the same computer or IP, then those accounts are in danger. By the sounds of that, that applies to all you accounts.

If you pay the fees, then EB may reinstate the account, but that is not always the case.

If it is just fees more than likely they will reinstate it

Even if its been transfered to the debt agency? I didnt think they would transfer over to them so soon, I thought id have a bit more time.

The last thing I want is to be the cause of other people losing their accounts!

The account under the same name and address is more than likely to get suspended I am afraid.

The account that was logged onto using the same comp and same IP, may survive depending on how many times it was logged onto from the same comp and IP. One off would be fine, several time, likely to have problems

Pay the debt and keep fingers crossed. Never any guarantees with EB

Ill pay the bill, try to get the account reinstated then I guess they have no reason to ban any accounts. Not that they need reason, but if everythings in good order it should make it a bit safer.

It goes to show... Stealth is important even if your not using Stealth accounts! Damage limitation... All this because a handful of people left low stars for shipping times!

It's usually been stated that ebay will come after sellers for outstanding fees.

Never recall seeing a single post saying just pay when you fancy.

Never a known time frame when they get the debt called in.

Best thing to do...

• Create a new user account for my old banned account.
• Make sure my wireless dongle has a new unused IP.
• Get on to them tonight via chat to explain.

Tip to ones self... Every user account needs to be password protected, this will stop me from clicking on the wrong one!

@ebanned, cant see for exactly how long you have been suspended but just bear in mind that paying the fees may or may not reinstate the account - a lot will depend on how much time you have been delinquent. Wish you best of luck
