Used echeck from stealth paypal: are there issues
 

I forgot that I had checked use paypal as automatic payment method for ebay fees, and didn't have the funds in my balance. As a result an echeck is in process as of this morning for the ebay fees. Obviously my real name is attached to my bank account - what are the chances I'll be limited? I read other posts, and seems like if this is the first time I'll be fine, but still very nervous that Paypal might see my real name attached to the bank account.

Also, will ebay be able to see my real name from the echeck?

How much trouble am I in?

Why not pay the fees with paypal balance or a gift card?

I always leave enough money in my Paypal to pay fees & for refunds etc

Better that way in my opinion :)

Chances are, this will go under the radar. If someone manually looks at your account, then there would be cause for concern.

As previous posters suggest, leave adequate funds in the account to cover your fees + any potential charge backs.

It's never a good idea (as you've already learned) to deplete your PP funds below these limits.

If you put CRAP in a thread title again you will be in trouble here :boink: LOL.

As a one off, there are rarely issues.

In this scenario, the processing will go thro' paypal as a (normal) transaction.
ebay will get a (normal) notification that the fees are paid.

IF your account went to manual review there may be problems. Only ever heard of that once on this forum.

Ensure for the future you are more attentive to what you are doing.

1 time is unlikely to have issues - make sure you have FUNDS in the bank account to go through or you will get hit with NSF (which can be outrageous!).

I have had this happen few times way in the past - no issues.

Like Greenie said, manual review will see the true name of the bank account since the name is generated when money is sent from the account on the e-receipt
