Got a new stelth account should i pay old banned account fees?
 

Spent good hour on phone to ebay they kept saying they would re-instate account and when i rang back to pay they said it was banned for selling forever and buying was the only think that would be re-instated.

My question is there any point me paying the outstanding debt?

I now Have a new stealth account and no hope of getting the old account back.

If your real information is on your old account, then it is a huge ordeal to pay it off.

Why pay it off?

eBay will first issue empty threats to you claiming they will proceed with collection agencies and legal action if you don't pay. While this is just all bull, continue reading below on what becomes a problem.

After 3 months however, you start actually getting collection agency mail demanding the money for the eBay fees to be paid. If you don't pay, they will use your name and address and obtain your identity, then issuing bad credit reports to ruin your life.

So if you think at this point they can find you, pay them as soon as possible. Otherwise, ignore the account and follow stealth rules for your new account.

Well it may ruin your credit, not necessarily ruin your life. Depends upon how much your life revolves around your credit score.

If its a stealth account and none of your real info is on there there isnt much Ebay can do about it.

They do can find you... your IP, even if it is dynamic, can be traced back to you.

First they use phone, email, post office... how they start to find?

Using a dynamic IP address do not make you anonymous

Court order and they get your real information.

Dont do anything illegal then you wont need to worry about that

If you use their services pay their fees

well, what could they find with a court order? That so-and-so logged in to such-and-such IP address at such-and-such time? At a particular address? Connected to the internet at your house? Or on a mobile WiFi? Or on a public WiFi at a Starbucks? Could they come after video surevillance to investigate who used a public WiFi at a partular time?

Depending on where you've logged in, and how much you owe and how much it is worth to go after.

what about if the seller info and paypal address were stealth but the buyer info is real???
I have been buying stuff sent to my old/current address and pay with my real paypal account. The name and address on buyer's info is complete stealth though.
