Managed payments, eBay and invoices
 

I have looked and did not find anything here about whether eBay or managed payments will request invoices for items listed on eBay

I know PayPal does and was not sure if this is something that Ayden may also want to see or even eBay.

I do believe in past I read eBay has requested invoices etc but didn't know if it was still doing that and just left it PayPal to obtain them.

I wanna make sure my name matches my invoices if they do ask so I can supply what's needed

eBay has always asked for invoices from time to time. They don't leave it to PP. Sometimes you're requested docs by eBay and sometimes by Paypal.

I'm sure that practice will continue in managed payments in cases where they have doubts about what you're selling, but I don't think it's going to become mandatory as part of the registration process like it would be on a merchant account.

Typically I have found eBay to request invoices much less frequently than PP. Whether or not eBay is going to step up their game now that they have integrated managed payments... well we will have to wait and see.

I was unsure and my invoices are in a different name than mine.
Thus worried when they do request invoices I am not sure if they will accept it in different name.
Better start getting some together in my name so I am prepared.

Ebay would ask around Xmas esp if you are selling pre order items

Just found out from Ebay rep,there are some items you cant sell under MP as they are not ready to process their payments.
they are GSP,charity and too many intl orders!
some said currencies as well,as they cant even list them

Not saying it won't happen going forward, but I have never been asked for invoices by either company. Kinda surprising, after selling for nearly 20 years...

Seen today in the eBay forum that you can't list coins either.

i HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY EMAIL ON MP,I AM NOT EVEN ASKED TO JOIN MP. AND I have been on Ebay for 20 plus years !
