Managed Payments for UK/Australia
 

Hi All,

With Ebay managed payments they are cross referencing the IDs with either drivers license, passport so having stealth account is going to be an issue.

If your only an individual seller and NOT a shop will eBay force you to do onto Managed payments? or will they allow you to use Paypal?

For the guys that are in countries that are already using managed payments how are you guys getting around them checking the IDs with government databases for stealth accounts?

Also there is an option to create a Personal Account/Company. I was thinking if the company has its own business number registered with the government it wont stop someone opening multiple accounts using different business names will it? You just have to pay for the business registration each time.

Any feedback would be good.

You have to submit ID for the majority shareholders of the companies and as they would all be the same person this would link all ebay accounts.

I'm not on it but my friend used real information (what he told me). I think it's going to be hard for stealth accounts without using real info based on my research

You have to use your real name and real ID as the name on your ebay account has to match the name on your bank account.

So whats the way forward with Stealth accounts then?

I'm sure there are 1000s of ppl that is going to affect their income if they cant continue to use stealth.

Also with managed payments are Ebay only forcing anyone who has a Ebay shop opened or will Managed Payments be required for everyone? Including individual sellers that dont have an ebay store?

Currently no body knows what is going to happen - it will make stealth almost impossible but time will tell if there is a way round it

Ebay has stated everyone will have to have it to trade on their site...
Lets keep each other as informed as possible...
Hoping it has been delayed due to covid/staff issues etc

Well one of my Ebay accounts has been suspended during the MP process. No idea why - I'll chat to the the online guys tomorrow.

Luckily smallish account. Ebay is going to lose ALOT of sellers like this. I'd assume the number of sellers on their marketplace is going to reduce immensely.

Mine one wont be able to list new listing. Will be forced to MP soon. Any updates on the process will be great.
