MP only for business sellers?

I haven't had notifications for MP for any individual accounts.
Only got for one business account.

Will it be enforced on personal accounts as well (eventually)?

Just wondering.

Mine is personal and I had to sign up. I think it has to do with volume and or sales.

No, not just heavy sellers.
The account on which I was asked for MP, this one was not a big seller.
Other acc's I have have much bigger turn overs.
Nothing heard on the other acc's.
Christmas is not too far away now.
I am guessing they won't want to rock the boat too much.
So maybe we all have a little time left?

Re: MP only for business sellers?

Many things play into whether you get an invitation or not at this time.

But it comes down to profits for ebay.

Seller A sells £1000 pounds daily but has listings that offer items that are blacklisted by Adyen. Seller a does not get invited yet. Presumabley until eBay has completely work out things with Adyen to cover those items. In the meantime, eBay is happy to keep FVF while Paypal keep their fees. Better than suspending your account for policy violation forcing you to end your listing.

Seller B sells £700 daily but all items are on Adyen's whitelist so seller B gets an invite.
Why should eBay leave money on the table for PayPal?

Seller C used to sell a lot in the past but has recently stopped selling. Seller C contacts eBay, registeres interest for MP but is told to wait for an invite. Seller C won't receive an invite any time soon. Seller C can only get in on MP sooner if they start selling (Adyen whitelisted items) again, taking in considerable amounts daily, and contact eBay for another assessment.

In short, if you want to avoid an invited just yet, just sell stuff that's on the Adyen's 'forbidden list'

This is by no means a gospel to don't take it seriously if you have a different experience, but it is what we've observed.

Pandora’s box what’s on the forbidden list

Might as well ⊗⊗⊗⊗ list them and contact eBay saying it’s current inventory

Are we talking dildo bats?

It's actually not Adyen's list. Adyen has nothing to do with it. According to the MP reps its all in house and it's the banks ebay is dealing with that have submitted prohibited category lists. My understanding is that if you sell in categories that can not currently accept MP they will not invite you to join. If they do require you to register and you sell heavily in one of those categories, you may have the option of not signing up. I know of one person who was able to to do this because their sales were in a category on MP's prohibited list. The list of prohibited categories is:

Adult only items
Auction services
Bullion
Coins & paper money
Gift cards & coupons
Lodging, timeshares, vacation packages, and car rentals
Memberships for campground and RV parks
Motor vehicles
Smoking cessation products including nicotine patches and gum
Tickets for travel, events, or experiences
Wine
