Default MP payout failed

So I had no choice but to sign up for MP. I did use my real name and matches my bank account name, it allowed me to skip putting in SSN and didn't ask for DOB when I signed up. I noticed that on the payment options ebay page it shows my name with middle initial and my ebay account is just first and last name no initial. Could that be the problem? Funds are not on hold they just failed to transfer. Address does not match bank account but I have not been flaged by ebay for anything

How could you sign up for MP without provide SSN? Was this your stealth account?

Was it re-tried?

You may have to contact eBay to see what the problem is.

If it says failed I would change the bank account on it to a different one. Especially if you used the facility where you enter your online banking details and let them search, that is unsafe. Get a new bank account and enter that your bank is not listed let them do 2 deposits and validate the account and the payment will get released. Same thing happened to 2 accounts of mine, one real and one stealth.

Ok I will do that. Have you been successful at using MP on multiple accounts? I hqve about 7 that I need to switch over so I've been experimenting. I'm thinking I want to use different addresses. Not sure how long before they ask for SSN

At some point they will ask for that I am sure. I always stay at around $12,000 per ebay account in sales a year so no 1099K my accounts are all personal. Never had an issue with PayPal. This MP sucks

Update, so I changed the bank account and that still failed. I went on the seller hub thing and they wanted my SSN which I already used on a different account with MP. So I had sold 3 things a total of $600. I tried to refund the buyer because I can't get a payout and that won't go through from my available funds they want me to add a payment method. WTF. Here is my problem for the past 15 years I have sold on ebay having about 30 accounts all unlinked so that I can spread sales and if there is an issue like a listing canceled or ebay statrting BS because I sold too much I have other options. Once MP is fully in place I will have a big problem. I am not going to ship these items and let ebay refund from the money the buyer paid eventually

MP will never be fully in place. Mp will be for big sellers and categories. Soon we will know what triggers it. Joe who wants to sell some junk wont be registering for MP and ebay knows it. Just my opinion.

This is why you spread your sales out. Then they won't invite you for a long time. More accounts needed.

You can either reuse the SSN again and hope you don't get suspended, or if you do.. it doesn't get linked. Since you already provided some data, i believe now it can't be changed, it has to be whatever you submitted without the SSN, in that case you'll need to let the account go.

ok, to summarize:

- your ebay was stealth (not your real name)
- you signed up for MP with your real name
..... did you change the ebay-acct name or leave it stealth?
- you were able to skip SSN
- the name on the bank acct is your real name
- payments were "good to go" but the transfer eventually failed

I suspect MP will be fully implemented worldwide on eBay.
We already know what triggers it at the moment and that is recent sales of any value.

If it is any trouble, eBay could easily streamline the onboarding process. Wish, and smaller platforms have no trouble doing it. I don't see why eBay would have any trouble doing so.

I am also believe MP will be implemented for every seller account. eBay has no more place for junk yard sellers. They want professional sellers like Amazon. Stealth game is over unless you are willing to commit federal crime such as using stolen SSN.
