convert from steath to manage payments

i got a final deadline to change over to mp payments by feb1. can i take my stealth ebay account and change it over to my real info or would i be better off making a new ebay acct with my real name ,address, ss number and bank info

if the details are linked in a past account that is suspended, it will lead the new account suspention as well. if your detail are clean, you are good to go with a new one.

I've heard eBay asks you to provide an explanation if your new MP info doesn't match your old stealth info. Is this true?

A couple people on here including myself have done it with no issues so far. I was banned 4 years ago. I changed all info to my real info. They seem to not be checking it at the moment. They could suspend in the future but what other choice do you have if you want to keep using that account.

If you make a new account you don’t need to sign up for managed payments right away.

I didn’t change info on eBay before hand. I only changed it on MP registration. You will see in settings afterward that it changed but address for like shipping and payment is still the same as before. I left it as is to not risk raising any flags.

So can you change info on a steath acct to real info if acct was suspended ?
