SquirrelOG | 04-02-2021 03:07 AM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments Uh oh yes that's gonna be a problem. |
Re: created new account, immediately managed payments Very unsettling indeed - hopefully just a one-off... |
phaz0rz | 04-02-2021 07:29 AM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments Nah it's not a one off. We all knew this was inevitable. |
Bigblackdog | 04-02-2021 08:04 AM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments So.... How are the account sellers resolving this?

Thanks |
Mr. Invisible | 04-03-2021 05:09 AM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments I can confirm this... It just happened to me on a new account I created last week. I listed 1st item, there was no option for Paypal in listing form, I hit submit and it went straight to Verify identity SSN request... :faint: I think this might finally be the end folks!!! |

Mr. Invisible | 04-03-2021 06:09 AM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments Super low risk... Kids markers, and it just happened again on another new account created last week. The listing on that one was general purpose glue. All my accounts use SIMS for phone. So far i'm 2/3 requiring MP on accounts created just last week. This is not good. |
glacier922 | 04-03-2021 09:57 PM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments Were you trying to make high limit accounts or low limit accounts Quote:

Were you trying to make high limit accounts or low limit accounts | I was just trying to establish an account to start selling on as usual. I usually sell 2-3 <$20 low risk items at a loss 1 at a time (list, sold, ship, delivered, list next) to start off an account slow, pay the fees, then very slowly ramp up sales from there with my normal items. I listed the 1st low risk item and... instantaneous MP. :pout: |
glacier922 | 04-03-2021 10:45 PM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments Was the 1st low risk item a 5/500 account? Or was it a bigger account? |
Mr. Invisible | 04-03-2021 11:20 PM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments I rarely ever got >5/500 on 1st try without having to call in :noidea:, and calling in has not been needed after 1st listing since I stopped using TXT apps/GVoice #s years ago, so they were all 5/500. |

glacier922 | 04-04-2021 04:24 AM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments ^^^^
Possibly, just experimenting with some things now |
Mr. Invisible | 04-09-2021 04:43 PM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments Update...
Created 2 more accounts that day listing 1st item in different categories and didn't get MP, so MP seems to be category dependent based on 1st listing... but needs more testing.
Submitted the other new MP accounts with real details and got 500/25000 right away on both and no ID request :heh::dance:
a. changed ebay name to real but left stealth address
b. submitted real name, address, DOB & last 4 of SSN to ayden to pass credit check.
c. got 500/25000 limits and listed 1st item
As horrible as they are, I still prefer Paypal, but the one silver lining to MP is that all those old Paypal burned bank accounts from former abandoned/limited/SSN requested Paypal's can now be put back into use with Ayden. |

Also if we have more ebay's under same ssn, are we allowed to list in same category or same exact product on multiple accounts. |

degsey69 | 04-19-2021 10:22 PM | Re: created new account, immediately managed payments If you open a business account with eBay then you put your self down as the nominated contact for the company and use your SSN and home details, it will go through smoothly if MP is selected by eBay when opening the account. |
