I make a lot of Canadian accounts, i live here from UK so easier for me as i use around 5 myself.
For the past year it's been great plain sailing but now it seems the dreaded MP has fully kicked in, every new account it seems is force in to MP and i'm worried about what i can do to keep my income going..
Just a couple of things i noticed
1: You can create an account, make a listing for testing in different categories and it will show paypal as an option but when you hit create listing it will force you to accept MP instead
2: Older accounts currently still have paypal as an option but i dread how long for..
whilst i hate paypal, i hate this new system even more. at least with paypal i could spread sales around to lower the chance of limitations.
THIS SUCKS. |
Re: Canadian Accounts MP Woes I got the april 29th deadline for most of my accounts, but only time will tell if that's a bluff. |

| mrl811 | 04-15-2021 12:09 PM | Re: Canadian Accounts MP Woes Yeah all new accounts so far need MP so i have stopped creating.
i'm taking a break from all this... Need a break and restart.
What a dick move on ebays part, one minute paypal is mandatory, the next it isn't allowed. HA! twats |
| sqrl57 | 04-17-2021 02:38 PM | Re: Canadian Accounts MP Woes Anyone have a solution on managed payments for Canadian ebay stealth accounts? What exact info does ebay require in order to sign up for managed payments in Canada, such as SIN number? I have a couple stealth accounts connected with paypal and they all have different names and addresses so I'm kind of lost on how to go about this. I don't want to waste my time creating new stealth accounts unless there is a safe way to go about this without risking the account and my identity.
Thanks in advance! |

Thanks in advance! | I think I can help with this,
-wondering, which VCC or VBA you are using on your Paypal account when you got it verified?
- all of your accounts are aged? |

| mrl811 | 04-21-2021 07:03 AM | Re: Canadian Accounts MP Woes so it seems, either accounts are falling through the cracks or a percentage is being allowed to use paypal
i've been making accounts since yesterday, testing differences and so far 1 out 3 have been allowed |

THIS SUCKS. | I'm not familiar with Canada accounts but what makes MP CA hard? In USA it's having them get our SSN since we only get one of those. Do you guys have to give something similar or is there something else that makes it hard? |

Anyone with Canadian ebay accounts figure out on how to transition stealth account into managed payments? Would appreciate it if you can share on how to go about this since my accounts have a couple more days until I have to enroll. |
| SquirrelOG | 04-25-2021 01:48 PM | Re: Canadian Accounts MP Woes I made a UK eBay stealth account on my phone this week. I sold one listing, but its Managed Payments only. No option for PayPal to be added.
- I'm guessing i can't just add my personal bank account to get the funds? There will be a name mismatch.
it says the following;
"For regulatory reasons, we need more details from you so we can send you payouts, Add your bank account,
Funds from items sold will be deposited in this bank account. You also authorise us to charge this bank account for money you owe eBay, such as reimbursing eBay for refunds or claims. The names on your eBay and bank accounts must match. |

I can list and sell without any interruption. I believe you don’t have to provide SIN unless you have a business account. It’s optional. |

It’s optional. | That's interesting experience and yes SIN is a bit different than SSN - it's optional, not a requirement unless you are employed with a company payroll. PP would be hardpressed to make this mandatory | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:10 PM. | |
