MP microdeposit arrvial time
 

I wonder how long does it take for the microdeps to arrive to get the MP verification finished? Few days have passed and no signs of them.

worst case scenario is that not all banks will accept micro deposits

I am waiting for 5 days already, bank account used: UK transferwise account with sort code. Any experience with transferwise? how long it can take?

payments on transferwise usually arrive within 2 hours if sent from the UK

On the 1st 8 accounts I converted I didn't have to do micro deposits and it is asking me even on accounts where names match.

anyway , there seem to be people from latvia here. a friend of mine used to have an account with parex , this bank does not exist anymore , however back then parex was rejecting deposits with name mismatch. the same applies today to the LHV bank from Estonia for example which is very popular with some services for sellers , you send mismatched name funds there and they will never arrive

so I would say this will be the main issue

There was no name mismatch. But bank does not accept GBPs, only EURO, and they seemed to be sent in GBPs. Will contact EB support to fid put what to do.

Here in Bulgaria no matter what is the account's currency, you can receive payments in different currency. IBAN is in BGN and you can receive EUR, USD, GBP etc. Bank just converts the amount using some internal exchange rate. I don't see any difference in your country.

Before contacting them, try to add UK bank account if possible or other EUR IBAN. The only issue I can see is the bank you've attached to MP.

this may be due to a recent change of country of registration , otherwise I can't see a connection between a latvian account and GBP

if this is the case you should write in ebay chat under the section of managed payments and ask to check this , they can probably change this to EUR internally

My account has been registered on .co.uk EB website. So it all worked in GBPs perfectly till now. So when I decided to go for MPs - they gave me options to add IBAN, but want to send GBPs there. And they have no any solution for working who do not have local ebay sites, as only few European ebay mirrors offer euros, but what to do if my account is established on .co.uk? Dump it? Does not seem a very smart solution. So fighting with them to fix their **** so they will be able to get me verified.

ask them to change the registration site , they must be able to do it internally

Registered in .co.uk. deposit arrived in 24 hours. Make sure you requested a deposit. I waited for deposit too after i added the bank account, but you have to open the message from ebay to confirm your bank and from there click to send microdeps.

Thing is that my account is EU, and they've sent GBP to my bank that does not accept GBP. That is the problem. If I had a normal bank that can accept currency mismatches, then it wouldn't be a problem. But it is as it is.

Asked them to fix it, lets see what would they suggest...

Ok so they've escalated this issue somewhere and said it will take up to 5 days to get sorted. Lets see...

from my experience escalation might not work quickly but if many people complain they eventually fix it within several weeks

Seems that i will need to create new ebays with TW bank, that at least accepts any currency for deposits.

They will fix it soon or later. There are many Latvian sellers just like you experiencing the same issue. It will take some time, but I think you will be fine at the end of this MP "scary" movie.
