Managed Payments Stealth Sign Up ?
 

1. Can eBay see your name when signing up for a bank on managed payments and wouldn't that risk your other accounts if you sign up with managed payments ? With paypal we could simply use the paypal balance to pay the monthly fees, with managed payments eBay will have to withdraw the fees which will expose the name unless you pay with a prepaid I suppose.

2. For Canadian eBay accounts you have an option to choose from SIN number or driver license/passport id number. There is no other option for stealth unless you keep the original stealth info the same and enter a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ id number which I don't know how the eBay algorithm will work and might risk a suspension.

I have multiple stealth accounts linked with paypal and eBay will limit my accounts by June 15th unless I sign up.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I had to use my real info on my main stealth account (which is 10 years old) I couldn't risk losing. I was banned about 15 years ago under my real name but it still went through.

However since we don't have to give SSN in Canada yet for my backup accounts I used creative IDs and all three went through, but I haven't sold much (if anything) on them so it's way too early to say how that will fare. We have seen people getting payouts for a few weeks before getting the boot.

I'll be testing my stealth accounts the next few months to see how long they last.

As for adding a bank account - I believe if you use the instant verification method they can pull your name and itll be attached to the ebay acct. Ive tested and seen that happen myself.
Not sure that applies to Canadian accts but I dont see a reason to risk it so just use micro deposits (unless someone has tried that as well and can report it having the same effect).

1.What information does eBay know when signing up for managed payments if you don't have a SIN number attached to the account and you are using all stealth details. The only info required additional is an id number which can be either from a driver license or passport that can be made with the stealth details. We can bypass the system on paypal but eBay seems tricky.

2. Also will your name not be shown when ebay takes the monthly fees from your bank account and is it a big deal that can cause linkage?

From what I'm reading on the forum, even if you use stealth info it will most likely not pass the system or after a couple sales you will have to submit an id to proceed.

1. They see the info you provide them - SIN number isn't shared freely from government agencies. SIN number fits an algorithm

2. Name can be seen - I haven't seen an effect on my stealth accounts yet...

I don't do super risky sales or heavy amounts on the regular so I'm not sure if that plays. My accounts that have done MP in Canada are about 10 years old if not a bit more/less

If you have separate chequing/savings account under the same bank and use different accounts with the same bank to sign up, will that cause any linkage signing up or if one account gets banned? Is it safe to do this? Thanks

It is safe - example: with CIBC, I have 6 different accounts (mix of chequing and savings) - each account is used with a different pp account (a few have been transitioned into MP in fact). No issues for linking experienced

When entering your bank details it only shows two options for account type, personal- checking or business checking. It doesn't show an option do add a savings account as it did on paypal. Would it be fine to add my savings account or will I have to make a new checkings account since there is no option to select savings account under the account type. Thanks

Savings account can be entered under checking - I would remove the deposit only option by dealing with the bank (bank may require you to go in however)

Will eBay request ID proof for all accounts under managed payments after signing up or making a couple sales or is it random based on the account activity?

I wonder the same thing. I just updated my second stealth account to managed payment, My cousin is letting me use his info but ebay asked for his dob and only his last 4 of SSN. my personal ebay account asked for the full info when I had to upgrade. hmm... weird

How about when you have to pay your monthly fees with multiple accounts under the same name. Can ebay not link them if they can see your name when they automatically withdraw from your account or will that be fine...?

1. 1. Also, for those who have already transitioned to managed payments. Would it be best to create a new account and start fresh instead of risking other accounts since managed payments is still so new, thanks :help: ^^
