MP - dead for eastern europe
Not only they ban stealth, they ban 100% real. No way to sell on ebay anymore. Probably this is intentional. Ebay doesn't like east europe and never will. They are okay with us sellers only who are 70% of their market. All the rest are just a headache. |

You are right. It's mostly people selling illegal software keys. I saw one guy from Bulgaria selling Radio Flying wagons below market price with free worldwide shipping the other day. He's apparently been accepted into MP.
Seriously though, real info isn't allowed in? Why do you say that? |

My guess is they only ban real details when they connect it to a previously banned account, to say they are banning all applications is simply wrong. |

| Have you seen the most sold list on ebay for 2020? Digital items (mostly coupons), necklaces, sneakers, cds, electronics. All high risk items.
A lot of stuff is sold from Eastern Europe, what you say is just a veeery small fraction of what is sold from these countries.
On another note - haven't seen anything authentic on ebay that is not so old that it falls apart. |

| they do not state which country is meant and only show an EU flag. It might be that all countries are equal in official EU propaganda. But the reality is different , there are some countries which are lower risk and others higher risk. I bet they tried to pass in a country where ebay will perform very thorough checks
according to their previous posts they may be in Serbia or Macedonia which would be considered very high risk |

| that most likely depends on the items , it is likely they do not want items under copyright/trademark. so far I have seen lots of sellers from eastern EU countries and from non-EU like Russia mostly selling copyrighted stuff. For example there are loads of sellers selling CD's/DVD's/Vinyl/digital items/licences that are all counterfeit |

I buy and sell second hand iphones and the amount of times people try it ...
Most recently I bought a iphone and the seller uploaded a tracking number from DHL that showed the item had been delivered a day before I bought it ! when I asked he proceeded to tell me that I should ignore the tracking as it's a glitch at DHL and the correct information will show within 24-48 hours which sounded legit to me as i've seen this with Hermes before.
It then hit me that he was looking for managed payments to release the money so he can withdraw. I notified ebay customer services and they confirmed he was trying to be clever and obviously didn't release anything to him until I confirmed receipt. And surprise surprise I received no item and no further communications.
These thieves are getting smarter every minute so ebay has to turn on the "block" button even on genuine people.
If you are allowed to sell on ebay you better get on your knees and suck their d... it's becoming a privilege now. |

| I think kneeling and sucking won't be necessary , it is likely that there will be limits imposed on which items can be sold from where. Eastern europe does not offer any reasonable sources for purchase of some types of goods so when you see copyrighted items , cosmetics , branded clothes etc. coming from there it will all be counterfeit if sold in new condition or in quantities
same thing applies to anything expensive like electronics but there it is mostly fraud oriented |

selling to Russia according to some Ebay seller is the same as throwing the item into the trash can. |

Seems like a gross generalization to say that all Eastern European countries are not welcome on ebay.
Ebay can choose not to offer their services in any given country. Why bother playing these games then if they dont want the sellers from those countries?
I dont see the logic in that (even if we can all agree that many of ebay's moves dont make much sense...) |

he means sellers with certain types of items are not welcome , obviously he means items under copyright/trademark , indeed most such items in new condition from eastern europe are counterfeits |

If I were in Eastern Europe and I have a good second hand iphone,I dont need to sell it on Ebay and lose 14% of my sales proceeds.
I can sell them locally outside Ebay.
BTW,long ago AMZN blocked country ThAILAND from buying on AMZN as there were too many credit card fraud,so sales venues can do what they please.
just like some Ebaysellers will not ship to Russia ! |
