Default Managed Payments Lost £400

This is a sticky situation.

I am using my own real details for managed payments, the only problem is that im 17. I changed the date of birth to one year older and it was fine for the last few months, but yesterday I came across an error saying:
"Your payouts are on hold until you update your account details. Please update by 19 Aug, 2021 to avoid further restrictions."

Now I have two options, I can provide my passport, and edit the DOB on my passport to be 18 years old, is this going to get me banned permanently or can I get away with it?
Or I can submit the age to be 17, and hopefully it takes longer than a day to check the passport, so I can withdraw the money in the meantime. But is this going to get me banned as well since I am not 18+? Please help

Worth considering a DOB edit...submitting your age to be 17 is clearly a violation...

If they realise that the DOB is edited, is that a full ban? I need to be able to sell on ebay and I'll be 18 in 9 months so if I could somehow withdraw this £400, I would most likely wait till then to sell again instead of never selling on ebay again.

I don't think your chances would be very good submitting a doctored passport. Internet companies are getting very good at verifying personal info without having access to official gov't databases.

Sounds like they restricted your account in the first place because they realized you're a minor.

Im in the UK so no Social Security Number.

Also I think the best way to get around this is to submit something random like a picture of a dog, on the weekends, and i should be able to withdraw money before they can check the picture and realise its not a passport, and hopefully they dont ban me as I can say I accidently submitted the wrong picture.

maybe you should change the flag

my best advice to you: do not submit any stealth info whatsoever because you will be suspended. Instead I recommend to wait until you become 18 and send in real docs. It is not guaranteed you will not be suspended for the previous violation of age but at least there is a chance

I also forgot to ask:

is this a personal or business ebay?

how much turnover has it made on MP approx. so far?

do I understand correctly they are not demanding to send in ID but are offering to update details or send in ID if the existing details are correct?

They find out he is underage so they are giving him a chance to prove they are wrong before they suspend him.
No,sending picture of a dog is not going to make any difference, your money is tied up until they verify your newly submitted proof of age.
You may have to wait till you are 18 to get your money.
go to Ebay seller forum and ask, many sellers there who have nothing else better to do but answer questions
