Creative ID for Managed Payments
 

Hello gang,

(1) I have a Canada-registered ebay account, but i sell almost exclusively on ebay.com. I am mostly selling odds and ends, and am a small seller.

(2) The account is around 15 years and have never had any issues.

(3) All the information on my ebay account is real, and i signed up for managed payments recently by providing a screen shot of my bank account, with my real name.

(4) However, i am being asked to upload a photo ID, with my date of birth and name. In the meantime, ebay had withheld funds from one sale.

(5) I just don't feel comfortable uploading a photo of my driver's license or passport, so i need a source for creative id. Can you please provide a recommendation? Feel free to send me a direct message.

I did receive a few MP payments before the ID request and block.

If you provide creative ID then account will be permanently suspended your choice

Source of creative ID is going to take some digging if you go that route - careful of soliciting PMs...

You really, really should just send them a copy of your real ID if it's a fully legitimate account like you're saying. eBay is not going to steal your identity. They are very good at detecting phake ID's so there is a good 90% chance you would be throwing a 15 year old eBay account in the garbage by submitting one to them.

did they request to send ID and bank statement?

or did they request to update details or send in ID if the details are correct?

They want me to verify my account details and send in ID if the details are correct.

that means you did not state your real details , this should also be the reason why you do not want to send your ID

anyway , that is a personal choice , you can try and send in a doctored ID at your own risk

The details are correct, except for the date of birth. Over 15 years ago, when the account was created, i didn't enter the correct dob. Like i said, i just didn't feel comfortable providing any more personal information than absolutely necessary.

If i provided a creative ID, i assume ebay will try to match it against the records of credit rating agencies?

While sending you real you can change your wrong details to real details

JUST MAKE SURE YOUR NAME DATE OF BIRTH AND ADDRESS IS CORRECT
AND SEND THEM YOUR REAL ID DONT TRY AND FOOL THEM.
THEY WILL CATCH YOU .

they probably do not want his ID but want him to correct his details or send an ID if he does not want to correct the details
