Running MP accs on EBAY.CO.UK with non-UK information
Okay, so historically I had loads of eBays that were operating on .CO.UK ebay site. Most of them had nice history, many feedbacks and so. After recent mass migration of EU accounts into Managed Payments I did many attempts to complete it and he are a brief results from 10 attempts:
The following was on .CO.UK:
1) 3 were suspended (so called "silent kill" - when they don't like you and just delete your account during MP verification)
2) 1 died briefly after an attempt to list some item - got MC113
3) 1 got into MPs successfully, tried to sell, but item removed due "policy violation". Violation was "private auction" and "lack of selling history" (funny, made 3500 GBP of sales, but # of tx was not enough, less than 25). They asked docs for the item that was removed, said docs are fine, but still, for the reasons above they can't let me sell it.
4) 1 was accepted into MP right after I've completed the onboarding form. ID country was indicated wrong due an error, but no any chance to fix it as their form was broken. Also, once they've onboarded me, the ability to enter the microdeposits has disappeared, so I was not able to confirm bank. After few days of waiting it also got "silent kill".
So, 5 and a half accs dead, never tried to do something with the acc that had violation but not suspension.
5) 5 accounts were accepted into MP and not killed (counting the one with the removed item as well).
So, got tired of that massacre and listed my stuff on .COM site from .co.uk registered accs:
6) 3 MP-accepted accounts from above listed big item on .COM and it worked without any suspensions! The main part was not to list item on UK although ebay offered that in listing parameters
7) one account is not selling yet on MP but still alive
All accounts had EMI banks with matching names, with Direct Debit unavailable and creative documentation. They all have same EMI added, IP from same provider, using same VMware-driven VPS for operations.
So I can tell that stealth is completely dead on UK platform, but still possible on COM. Moreover, it seems that .COM accounts are not banned completely once one tries to list something, they have that "⊗⊗⊗⊗" ban that can be lifted by just talking to ebay via chat, compared to the "hard" one that you most likely get if trying to sell something on UK while not being from UK.
Did not have time to test real docs on .CO.UK though. |
