Bank country and registration country must match??
 

Set up account in Lithuania and tried to add Bulgarian bank account. It did not allow- the "next" button is dissabled until entering any IBAN with LT beginning.

So bank account country must match registered adress country now or what?

Just delete LT by hand.

Yes, it can be deleted by hand, but the button “next” is inactive until any iban with LT beginning is entered. Tried to input Belgium, Bulgaria and UK ibans- the button “next” just stays inactive..

many EU registered accounts have been using a loophole allowing to add foreign bank accounts based in another EU country. mostly it is done to be able to use virtual bank accounts like transferwise , banq , revolut etc.

however , the Adyen TC's state that the country of registration and bank location must be identical , I have not found any exception for EU countries

that is why it is possible that ebay are about to ban use of foreign bank accounts

such a ban exists on paypal as well by the way but it is limited. for example western european paypal refuses to make any payouts to eastern european bank accounts like the ones from the baltic states and from bulgaria

If they will ban foreign banks, that would be just a disaster. As enormous number of people and businesses are using banks like Wise just because they offer much more adequate pricing compared to traditional banking, not because they are doing something illegal.

foreign accounts are almost 100% virtual accounts which are not that popular at managed payments. considering that adyen's conditions say that bank country and registration country must match

I recommend EU sellers to replace foreign bank accounts with accounts at local banks now. There is a distinct possibilty that everyone with foreign accounts will be restricted

It could be another eBay glitch. Test tomorrow and contact them via live chat if needed.

Added some BE and LU banks yesterday, all was good.

Visa or Mastercard it will make no difference whatsoever who the bank uses for the reasons stated above by other posters.

Another day another problem- now non of the banks can be add - the "next" button is inactive all the time :D :D :D

Paypal at one time have a hard time clearing with Eastern European banks,until VISA bought VISA Europe,and Paypal then clears thru VISA EUROPE,if your bank is a member of VISA Europe.
I dont know how Ayden clears ,whether it does not want to or just find it not economically feasible to do so
