eBay Suspended & PayPal Limited Forums - Can’t change name on stealth LLC

I couldn’t change my name when registering for MP.
With a previous ban, my plan was to:
Create LLC with different real name.
Buy stealth account.
Update name to real name during MP registration.
Except the field to ‘update name’ was grey, couldn’t be edited.

I’ve read that you can’t change the “name” in your profile without risking a ban, so I didn’t change it there, and there was no other opportunity to change it when signing up for MP. So now I have an Ebay MP account with a real business name/EIN but stealth name.

I just read someone else’s post and I am sweating, “We appreciate you submitting your government ID, but unfortunately, the name on your identity card does not match the PREVIOUS name on your eBay account.”.

Did I miss something? This close to 2022, its not worth risking a ban with this business and name. So what do I do? Call and explain? Close the account?

The bank account - if stealth friendly - should let the microdeposits go through though

A lot of people here are in that exact situation, and are doing just fine. For several years now.

I didn't update any names on my accounts I just added my own info as the beneficial owner of the company when I registered for MP. So far so good :noidea:

Yes micro-deposits went thru fine; sold 1st item earlier. The "name" not changing is just giving me anxiety. If status changes I'll update post.

Thanks for replying. There wasn't a 'beneficial owner' field during mine. I choose soleP/LLC. You?

And this was registering a new account, or upgrading an existing account?

Existing. Originally a personal stealth account; I registered for MP with a business. (Have not upgraded to an ebay business account yet).
