Managed payments currency payout
 

I'm registering my old ebay stealth accounts to managed payments but it didn't give me an option to select USD currency instead of CAD for the payout. When registering all it asked was phone number conformation with sms, DOB, and to add a bank account which I skipped since I opened a USD currency account only. Did eBay change the process from a couple months ago? Anyone know how I can select usd currency for payout?

Are you using a Canadian bank or US bank? It seems that MP defaults to currency of country-based bank - seems like that

if there is no way to choose a foreign currency(non Canadian),then the option is not there.

I didn't add my bank yet but it seems CAD was default and didn't get any option to choose USD, I have received an email to verify my identity.

I think MP expects you to link a Canadian bank account.
With Paypal,if you have a non USA Ebay account,you can add a US bank account as Paypal is a US company,it is considered a courtesy to overseas US expat .
Unlike Paypal,MP just want to transfer your sales proceeds to your bank account

we dont know what bank he is using and can the bank accept foreign currency

I use TD canada with a USD chequing account, I used it before on a different ebay stealth account and received payouts fine through USD a couple months ago. Talked with 3 live agents who were just making up different reasons of why I didn't get the option to choose the payout currency. Seems like it's standard now....just going to add a CAD account now.

This is interesting - I wonder if you had the usd chequing account operating under td usa though

The old ebay connected was under TD Canada for USD payout, With my CAD account now got requested for verification which requires you to input the correct deposit amount from ebay, says I will receive it within 3 business days.
