Deleting previous Payoneer account and adding a new one to an existing eBay account
 

Hello !

I would like to know your experience. I have an eBay account and recently went through the process of signing up and registering to Payoneer for eBay managed payment service. Payoneer approved my passport scan but, for unknown reason, after around 1 month verification, they declined the address proof provided (bank statement) and then closed that account.

Trying to open another Payoneer account with the same passport information is apparently not possible as they have the passport number in their database and match to it.


eBay does NOT allow me to delete the current link to Payoneer and offers only option to add a new one in order to remove the old Payoneer account for which I didn't manage to pass the address verification.

I do understand that I could try to open and verify a new Payoneer account using driver's license or ID with a new/different address. However, I would like to know if it is safe to link that new Payoneer account to the existing eBay account ?

this means payoneer will be able to link old and new account , it can not be considered safe

I always try to ADD and never delete anything.

I'd remove the old 3+ months later

Yes you can add new Payoneer to exiting eBay and it will be sync

important issue here is that "synced" is not the same as linking paypal to ebay in the past

this means personal details on ebay are changed to personal details of payoneer

this is a problem

Thank you for all your replies. Though it is only my guess but I also think it is not that safe, because, basically, you still link a new Payoneer account to the same old eBay account and Payoneer most likely would see that there was a previous try to establish a link to that eBay account, so this could be a red flag for them to block the new Payoneer account opened for another address.

Could you please advise if you had such a try and how long your eBay and Payoneer accounts are functional thereafter ? Thanks a million.

it take 48 hour to update then you can back again

I have personal Payoneer account attached to Ebay and Ebay wants me to change my Ebay account type to business. For that i need to close my Payoneer personal account and open new Payoneer business account. Please note that my Payoneer account was approved for Ebay more than 1 year back but recently Ebay asked me to change it to business as my Ebay account was business account when it was made couple of years back.

Do i need to remove Ebay funding source from my current personal Payoneer account first? Payoneer support told me that i need to ask Ebay to request Payoneer to remove Ebay funding source from my Payoneer account first then you will be able to attach new business Payoneer account to my Ebay account.

Does someone has experience in attaching new Payoneer account with Ebay in case where a Payoneer account is already approved for Ebay managed payments and you want to remove that Payoneer account and add a new one?

I also have my Payoneer account blocked. Should I change all my eBay data with the new Payoneer account data, or just link Payoneer and move on?

i wouldnt change ebay data - could trip security flags and cause you ID issues

Thank you for your response. So, what is the correct behavior from your point of view and based on your experience? Now I have another account, but the problem is that the data in Payoneer is different. Will I be suspended or will payments be sent? I want to understand before I do anything.

1st question: why was your payoneer blocked initially? That needs to be addressed

Believe me, I do not know the reason for the ban yet. I submitted all the required documents and they were accepted when I created the account and did not receive any money. I just linked it to my eBay account and after a week it was blocked, but eBay was not blocked. I do not know the reason for my Payoneer account being blocked completely.

Hmm I am just wondering if you attached a new payoneer account, if that will be blocked completely if you haven't addressed the issue for the old account ban

I doubt payoneer can be easily exchanged on ebay as this is likely to lead to issues with both payoneer and ebay

with payoneer new account would be linked to the suspended one

with ebay the account ownership would be automatically changed into details of the new payoneer. here in the uk for example ebay do not allow to change ownership on a verified ebay account

Then better banking is needed - anyhow...OP has enough info to try it out and report back
