Opening International accounts to sell in USA Market

Im noticing a lot of sellers that show they are from other countries selling in my category.

Has anyone have any experience opening a foreign account and switching to the USA Market?

what is the process like?

Do you need an IP address from that foreign country, open the account there, and then change the address?

You would need an IP in the country your making an account

You then just list directly on the eBay countries account you want to sell in

after aging a few weeks can u manage the eBay account in USA IP even if an international account?

In theory yes but really I find your best sticking with the eBay countries IP

you can always go on ebay.com and list even if on international IP - are you concerned about visibility?

If the account is based in a different country, it's best to manage it based on that country.

Dirty little secret - there IS no US market anymore. Everyone is now too poor, sick or dead to buy anything. I am questioning why I even bother trying to expand my what account because buyers are no longer there.

main concern is bank variety with international accounts. better for stealth.

Im never walking away

but i do see his point. Ive noticed such a huge change in sales, im talking about -70% difference from the sales I used to get in the previous years.

of course covid was a weird time and was actually my best years but the current ebay market right now is very tough. Maybe its also just the current state of the global economy?
or it could also be my category im selling in. But i highly doubt that because it performed great in any previous market state.
