does eBay even ask for last 4 of SSN anymore ? or is it full SSN now?
 

As per title says. I just created an account and they ask for full ssn. Kind of concerned for future stealth accounts that is

Yeah.. that's the industry standard now. You can still use an EIN though..

You can just convert to business account and put in ein from the very beginning ?

No, that's not what I meant.


Me, you, and that other guy who just made a thread are like the only US posters left here. Maybe ask on reddit. The accounts I have in MP all asked for my SSN and EIN when I switched them over. The 1099's all have their own EIN. So they're fine with multiple accounts being registered with the same SSN if they're running with unique EINs.


Have you had your SSN burned in managed payments? I have not so take anything I say with a grain of salt, if you have.

No, I don't have my SSNs burned, I am just doing preventative measures now. So the best way to go about this with multiple accounts now is register with SSN as personal and don't convert to business until eBay forces you? Converting on your own is not a good idea ? Or you can do it either way?

I had to add my SSN and EIN when MP rolled out and that's the setup I'm running with today.. because I haven't been kicked off..

At the time it was 3 accounts. It's now 2 because one of my 3 accounts is stuck in the AI password reset loop.



I'll probably get that 3rd account back after a while.


Still though.. starting another account is as easy as getting another EIN.
