Anyone watch Watchdog (UK programme) it has Paypal on next week!
 

I don't know if anyone here UK based watches watchdog but I do, basically for anyone non US Based watchdog is a programme that tries to tackle rogue traders. Well funnily enough I saw theyre looking into PayPal next week..good or bad news for stealthers?

I'm sure they have featured them a couple of time before, it's normally interviews with eBay buyers who have had small problems they never speak to people like me who nearly lost my entire business thanks to them.

It will be followed by someone from PP talking BS about how they are improving security for customers etc... but at the end of the day if you want to buy or sell on eBay they have you by the balls so it will make no difference at all.

Will make its way to US fast enough with the flow of reality-based cra...err quality shows :P

i'll tune into that. i'd like to know why i have to phone them every time i add a bank account. probably because those thieves want me to phone their 0870 number, though i use their 0208 one.

yeah, they keep trying to tell me it must be a temporary glitch. it's quite difficult to resist the temptation to tell them it's not as i have to keep calling them everytime i add a bank account.

Wow, never had to phone them with regard to adding a bank account. Will need to practice my surprised innocent voice for if I need to in the future.

I hope they don't implement lie detectors on the phone.

Mate i've got 63 stealths and never had to phone a bank account. I'd be a bit concerned there. And yeah i've noticed watchdog done a small thing on them before..but good for them to have some more bad publicity this year..

Looks like they are covering a story of someone who lost their business. Reading the report makes my blood boil, especially with the very brief and not very assuring reply from pp!

I have not visited the forum for a while as I have been mainly trading from my website although I have now decided to also trade on ebay, only got 3 stealths at the moment though!

i caught the last bit, seemed like a total waste of airtime. i was expecting to see Robinson rip a new arsehole for a whimpering PP rep.

Fix was in.

All paypal needed to do was show up.

Yeah it was very controlled. I liked the way they said at the end that paypal is working with those users to reinstate their accounts lol..I bet as soon as watchdog show came off - you have been limited for risky activitiy. PMSL ahhaha.
But damn..I said one gentlemen on it had 33,000 pound frozen. I think I would probably shoot myself if I was dumb enough to let that happen.I'm very lucky in that I'm a newb but never had a stealth limited..

There are business with 6 figures frozen - lives have been devastated - its a really bad way to operate...and appeals denied hurts even worse
