I Guess We are Not Popular Enough????

Check OUT this Link that came out about the Biggest Power Seller
eBay Reinstates Power Seller after Hue and Cry
Maybe there is hopes for some of us for a Class Action Law Suit...???
He was just re-instated

What is more interesting is eBay is complaining to Congress about How Vero is Handled??? Interesting??? They had told me at one point they were bound to the Rights Owners to take down a listing but looks like they may also be bound to Congress...
Any Thoughts????

It seems that there may be hope for those who lost their accounts.

You need to make a huge stink about it in order to get your account back on a public forum.

This is actually a bit of good news...

I see some moron at ebay just randomly smacking keys and banning good/great sellers for no reason at all.

'Purging'? I see a lot of peoples heads rolling.:rip:

Don't get your hopes too high, this was just eBay doing some damage control or PR so they don't look like buttheads.

This is true...But if many of us sellers expose ebay for what they are doing...It could work in our favor.

Hope the same is also true of Amazon! They have been in the media alot of late in the UK and not in a good way.

Agree 100% w/ MM78...this is nothing more than PR stunt to "save face" from the backlash.

Nothing will change for others.

Re: I Guess We are Not Popular Enough????

Ebay hired an outside consultant firm the first of the year to change their image.

It worked for a few months and they went right back to being insane horrible business managers.

If this worked good for them. They put ebay on the spotlight and won.

I love to see people kicking ebay or paypals butt.

I'm new here but want to mention that I've been speaking with an attorney about the possibility of a class-action suit; now with this "Charlie" reinstatement, I think eBay may have just opened up MANY more doors for many of us to walk through. It appears that "Charlie's" situation happened rather quickly and it doesn't appear that eBay realizes the ramifications of what they've just done. We should start seeing more and more of the reinstatements otherwise suspended sellers with "alleged" similar violation can now go after eBay for discrimination suits. Its the....well, he got reinstated and I have the same suspension so why am I not reinstated?

No case is similar therefore each account is handled differently.

They will provide details of each account with a line of TOS issues to prove legit reason to ban you.

I am not taking their side but I dont think any lawsuit in the past has been won like this for any suspensions.

This person just took it kinda to social media and won.

Only ebay has the close details of each account so you cannot compare yours and theirs as they only give a very light reason for the suspension and never give you the real reason.

It`s a lot of time and effort...some would win but others would still fall - this case is an individual success story, not a collective effort

Its false hope / wishful thinking to think we are going to see more and more reinstatements.

eBay has a litany of lawyers lined up that will ensure whatever case or accusation brought against them is handled swiftly and adheres to their TOS.

As Sandy mentions, they can (& will) hide behind the TOS bible we all agree to when we initially sign up.

We all need to understand that we agree to play by eBay's rules whenever we sign up and continue to sell on their platform.

The keywords here are their platform. If we don't like their rules, we can go elsewhere (Amazon, CL, Etsy, etc.).

Re: I Guess We are Not Popular Enough????

Believe me when I state that ebay will dig up hidden little TOS violations when they need to.

They make the rules and we all agreed to their TOS.

It would be hard to beat them and this one case does not mean every case will end up the same.

This person just took it to the next level and did well!

Congrats to them.

Re: I Guess We are Not Popular Enough????

They do it just to look good, please notice that there are numerous complaints of paypal and ebay on the BBB but they all have an a A+

Its a complete monopoly, not one case in the BBB is resolved neither, they just favor ebay or paypals side. Go and take a look, its a joke.
