Anyone know about eBay buying Etsy?
 

I was watching Bloomberg TV today and heard something about eBay purchasing Etsy and was just curious if anyone knows what's up? If true maybe it will keep them focused on something other than us. One can only hope, right?

I did a search and only saw something that it made perfect sense for eBay. Probably see something tomorrow on Bloomberg.

No, there is nothing right now about eBay buying Etsy.

Etsy just had an IPO of their stock and several analysts have said that it would make a lot of sense for eBay to buy Etsy, but there is nothing in the works, at least not that has been announced.

But I don't think it will happen, at least not for a long time. Because if eBay were going to buy Etsy, why not do it BEFORE the IPO? It would be a lot easier for all concerned, not to mention cheaper. But that is just my THEORY.

Pretty sure eBay either bought or partnered up with jd.com and will focus on the Chinese market

Please eBay just leave it alone. Etsy doesn't need the corruption of eBay

I'm sure Etsy is benefiting from all the hype, that's probably the whole point.
