I wouldn't be surprised if the Courts threw this dumb case out of their courts. I wonder how long before she gets her account Limited and ends up here asking for help to get back to selling the Sun!

i believe the article states she got banned or something and eBay wanted to settle out of court and she denied..

eBay banned her because she was not selling a tangible item. She claims to own the sun, but her legal reasoning is ridiculous. Since the UN bans individual countries from claiming to own celestial bodies, but does not say anything about individuals, she claimed the sun. Not that it will stand up in court.

I just thought of something....if she owns the Sun, and if I get skin cancer...can I sue her for the skin cancer which was caused by the sun?

Actually that's a Good Point..

In other reports she wants to charge people and businesses who use solar energy for the use of "her" Sun.

So next time I get a sunburn, I think I'll file a pain and suffering case on her. :p

I would like to sue her for forcing the Sun on me since i have not requested it. This is just like second hand smoke. I think I have that freedom. Her Sun is assaulting me! It makes me sneeze and gives me headaches!

People buy this kind of stuff because it is cheap and they get a certificate that works as a conversation starter. I seriously doubt that anyone buying these certificates, or other certificates that claim ownership of the moon, or stars, truly believes that they own it.

Many courts hear all kinds of crazy cases, just based on the reasoning that everyone deserves their day in court. I doubt she will win this.
