Hello Everyone

I want to introduce myself and explain my story but after reading everything you may have already given me the answers :)

I have a business partner whose account was restricted due to a link to another account so was unable to sell on ebay.

I had my personal account which I have had for 10 years never sold on. In his desperation to get sales he listed some items and after 3 days I received contact from ebay saying they were delisting items and I had to call in.

I responded and they said I was linked to another account probably IP address I replied and have constantly denied knowing what they are talking about. Anyway they restricted my account and lowered the selling limits to 5 or £350.00. This was over a month ago I continued selling what I was selling and hit the 5 item limit. This month I am allowed to sell the same limit. I am currently on my third item which is on bid.

Is this a dead account or will I get an increase and why did they continue to allow me to sell if they thought the account was linked.

Hi Sonsara and good luck to you. Yes that is strange they allowed you to keep selling after they said you were linked to another account. But the account is still going so that's a good thing. Keep trying to build it up but you may want to look into stealth as these things can be unpredictable.

Thank you for your support. Yes I have purchased the book and spent lots of time searching and reading the forums. I can see there is a lot of learning to do!! I never had a clue that Ebay and Amazon were capable of doing this to honest people but at least now I have the insight to try and keep my current account open and move forward with a stealth account.

Not everyone is "honest"...sadly...those who aren't made the game tougher for the honest ones
