German Stealth account: address check
 

Hi,
I had a German Ebay account and today received the message from German EBAY (translation):
"A copy of the commercial application of the commercial register entry

A current message confirmation.
This is the only way to check your address in Germany."

It is not a private account , so I guess selling on Germany Ebay should be registered in government commercial office. Am I right?

Who can make it? I tried to find a seller in MARKETPLACE, no luck.

And I guess PAYPAL will ask me to upload the same documents afterward.

Easy to create the Stealth account, but hard to sell items on ebay.de.

In German site, you have to provide some "wired" documents.

Stealth account? I found for a stealth account, it is hard to go further.

what documents do they ask for? (german name please)

if they ask for "Ust.-IdNr" or "Gewerbe anmeldung" that is issued by German Gouvernement

yes , you start at low 1000euro, if you go slow but with good feedback gofast up to in 1-2month 50.000euro limit. if you have only one not recived or not described case you will stay without increas for years. i have one account from 2014 that stuck on 1000euro/25items. list feew items dont go fast, to much items will bur account....

gewerbeanmeldung is easy, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ it fill out the form, put some random stamp on the bottom, boom, u have your gewerbeanmeldung no way to verify for ebay though

This will get you in real and big trouble. The Gewerbeanmeldung will be shared with the Finanzamt (German IRS) for tax purposes. As soon as you hit the 17,500 € limit, Ebay automatically reports your account activity to the German tax authority.


So this might give you a few months of free movement, but at the end you will be in hot water.

Sorry, but that's bs. Even without a "Gewerbeanmeldung" ebay, respectively Paypal, could report you to the revenue dpt.

17.500 € is the limit for income and not for turnover.

i never heard of sharing Info between ebay and the Finanzamt, this aint the USA.

It might be reported from Paypal, but easy solution for this is open an account in any other country with a non-german account attached (best would be non EU).

It doesnt set u free from paying taxes, but i rather prefer that i report my income then some reporting-system.
