Ebay account in UK and listing in USA issue
 

Hi,

I have a UK ebay/paypal account combo, I've had it for a year and been selling on ebayUK no problems, good feedbacks etc etc.

I recently tried to list an item on ebay.com (usa) and successfully did and made a sale. However when checking out for payment the customers can't make paypal payments. I do have my uk paypal email on the listing so not sure what the issue is. I called paypal to confirm my email and they said all was okay.
I'm not sure why this listing isn't accepting payments.. Trying to avoid calling ebay for now as its stealth....

Has anyone had this issue and managed to resolve it?

CHeck your paypal settings and make sure that you are allowing international payments to go through.

I know that I block international payments myself so see if that's the case.

Just to clarify, you're simulatenously selling on UK and USA eBay. The UK payments are coming through, but US aren't?

If so, what exactly is the error message showing up when they try to pay? Is it an error on an eBay page or PayPal page?

It's on the ebay checkout page, I can't remember exactly what, something like paypal can't be processed... I need to check the message.

Yes I am selling an item ( a book that I can't shift) on the UK site simulatenously. I have sold other items on the UK site, no issues with payments, they sell out in a day.

How long has this been happening for? Recent? a while?

Recently ebay has been glitching a lot with a lot updates happening behind the scenes. I would say thats the reason why.

If its been a while, then i'd contact eBay to find out what is causing it.

Only listed on USA ebay once and it happened. I just added dollar currency to my paypal account so will see if it's that.

Let us know how it works out, although I cannot see adding another currency to PayPal solving the issue. Usually payments received in currencies other than those you hold within your PayPal account get automatically converted into your default currency.

If it still doesn't work, fire an email over to eBay may be the best way to go about it.

Hey, It worked. I sold an item on ebayUSA and got payment!
I guess adding the dollar currency option resolved the issue. thanks guys for your help.
