German PayPal with Bulgarian bank account?
 

Hi guys and girls. I have a question regarding PayPal.


I tried to make a German Paypal but I need a German phone number. Which is tough for me to get.
So I used a Bulgarian phone number and Bulgarian address.
For the Ebay account I used a German address.

Would that be a problem?

Well I made it from a German IP. I guess using BG details makes it a BG account. That's why I said I tried :D.

I guess it is a Bulgarian Paypal. But the Ebay account is with German info.

Would that be a red flag for Paypal when I start selling?

I'm planning on selling low risk items at first and gradually increase

And when I provide a Bulgarian phone number on a German Ebay will it get limited ? Is it a red flag?

thanks. just smile when creating a business account in the Netherlands Paypal requires company ID or the so called BTW(Belasting Toegevoegde Waarde) in Dutch. If I put a random BTW nummber of a Dutch company would that work?

You will probably have problem with EB.de because you used German address and there is a Schufa check. Anyway you already made account, just give it a try.

I have no experience with Dutch accounts, but I think since you are already in the process, why not try it and let us know?

i should really start selling those schufa entries haha :D
unfortunately i don't have 100 posts yet so i can't apply for the marketplace just now, otherwise i would already have @moderators :(

my schufa entries bypass phone verification on eBay (germany) completely
it raises trust for the account as well, i had one customer that listed 9 high risk ⊗⊗⊗⊗ cosmetic items within an hour of creating the account and sold out all of them fast.. afaik the account is still living.
you will get a full data set with phone number you have to enter on ebay.

in US it is SSN, in UK it is electoral role, in germany it is schufa.
while not related directly to the government like the US and UK systems, it is the biggest credit check database in germany and it has almost the same status for identity verification like these systems for companies acting in germany.

so ebay asks schufa for that person details and can see different data about that person, for example job, income, phone, credits, loans, where you live, how long you live there, etc
if one of these details mismatch you will get phone verification on ebay and the account is just as good as any unverified one.
but with it, you are a "real person" and your account has hugely more trust

paypal also relies on this db, so the account will have more trust and you can start growing faster

What I know about Schufa, when regisritng on .de, they match DOB, name and address. You can read info when registering acc there. Better use addresses outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

when you open a Paypal account,it asks you what country,if you choose Germany,then it is a GERMAN Paypal account.
Paypal does not second guess what IP you were using ,but how did you manage to use Bulgarian address for a German paypal account?
Germany is in EU,it would ask you for documents once you exceed a certain amount,is it $1650 now?better check.

You also need to review Paypal /Ebay buyer and seller protection,if your buyer wants to return an item or file dispute to return an item,what address would Ebay/Paypal give him?

Would be wiser not to use live pp links as they can see where it came from.

It is just to tell us the countries it does business in and what is accepted?
Some may not be aware there is such information,but some of that information is dated or useless.

Yes i did but it is naive to believe that they do not track any incoming traffic,to any of those page.

when his incoming payments reach a certain amount,I dont recall the exact number but it was like 1650..
But from what you guys said,it looks like if it is usng SCHUFa ,that should satisfy ID requirements??

You can get german phone number easy. Simply buy it on ebay and then activate online. They speak (consultants who verify you as person to actvate sim card) english - everything is fine with that. We use ortemobile.

However if you have already made bulgarian paypal and german ebay (ebay with bulgarian phone?) - it still will work smoothly. Just be carefull with item you sell.

Misleading, no SCHUFA check in EBAY and PAYPAL!!!!

Paypal has the receiving lift. In EU,it is 2500euros and PAYPAL will send you an email to upload documents (ID,ADDRESS..) while your paypal account hit 1800euros receiving limits.

Under your situation, it is a bit risky to create Bulgarian PAYPAL account under German IP. It will be fine if your EBAY selling activities run well which means your linked PAYPAL account has less disputes. Otherwise it is more easily to be limited.

If your EBAY and PAYPAL accounts both are in EU countries, it is very safe while the country of EBAY accounts mismatch PAYPAL accounts.
