Can you use a credit card with a different name to paypal account?

Is it possible to use a credit card that can be verified, but under a different name to the account?

I made the account under a nickname, but want to add a card I've never used with Paypal before to verify it.

Is this possible?

As long as the cc address info matches the address on the PP account, it should verify fine regardless of name used - stealth name can be used
