PayPal just suspended my account within 10 days of documents request
 

Hi there fellows.

I have just joined this forum today after getting lashed from Paypal nightmare that so many of us go through. :ballchain:

So I got this email 10 days ago about my Paypal being limited because of violating their terms etc. They ask me to provide some document and explain to them about the last 30 days transactions in a text box area:

I had no idea what to write in the text box because I was reselling selling keys and gift card etc so I wasn’t sure what to say about. I found a guy on a FB group which seemed like a "Pro" guy in handling these matters but the guy was quite busy and he gave me two days time to sort it out. I arrange all documents for proof, meanwhile today I got this email message from Paypal without even providing them with the documents and details they asked:

The odd thing is they only gave me 10 days time to upload the proof of documents etc which I was just arranging consider its time of these COVID lockdowns and arranging documents could take some time which it obviously did.

I have money stuck in this account and I would like to do my best to recover this account, perhaps I can email them those missing documents at this point I am not so sure if there will be any use? Not sure if this would make sense or am I being over-optimistic?

The account and money in it are gone. You were selling the shadiest of the shady kind of products so there's probably a good 98% chance Paypal will send any money that's still in your account to themselves for "AUP violations" some time in the next 6 months.

So does that mean selling gift cards /keys aren't allowed? I have seen seller with 1000+ sales on ebay selling gift cards and keys WITHOUT issues. So how come they are allowed to sell for that long?

Yeah i also saw people who sold lots of them, is there any rulles for that ?

The people that sell lots of them probably established / built trust, verified who they are etc using their accounts selling tangible goods and then switched to selling keys and gift cards at a later date but by then paypal ebay trusted them to fullfil orders as they already proved they can

You can't just start selling high risk and/or intangible goods from the get go.
