Withdrawal to old bank account
 

Dear All, I withdrew 2000 USD to the bank account linked to the account (4 years old). This hasn't been used for about 1 year. Today the bank tells me the bank account was closed due to inactivity. So the funds will not reach that account, hopefully they will go back to Paypal. Will Paypal see that the bank account has a different name?
As far as I know PP cannot see bank account name holder when it is linked to the account, but this time the funds come back from the bank.
Anybody had had this experience?

PayPal 'might' be able to see the bank account details/info, but they don't seem to care.
It's up to your bank if they accept the withdrawal from pp with mismatched names or not.

Had. and lost funds comming out back to PP. Support told some rubish to find ask ARN inner number of transaction via bank. Just words. Nothing changed. Funds back nowhere.

There are cases like that,for some reason Paypal has problem crediting your Paypal account based on the information on the return transaction

OK but does Paypal freezes the account and hold the funds for 180 days, or just close the account and pocket the money?
or
the funds just disappear and the account stays alive?

I suppose this is a bank-to-bank transactions (Paypal bank account to my bank account). With banking, if a transaction goes nowhere, it is reversed with appropriate fees taken by both banks to make you remember the mistake.
I guess in a few days I'll have the answer...
