i need to buy something at a web store which cost us$56, but i only have canadian dollors in my canadian paypal.
i heard that paypal will charge a lot when you have to pay with different currency, i wondering how much will paypay charge me?

It’s pretty expensive - around 5/6% roughly

Paypal gives a horrible exchange rate - somewhere like 3-4 points below the true exchange (many banks do 2 or better from what I recall)

this is one good reason for non US sellers accepting US dollars from buyers,they do not convert it to their local currency,they just keep them as US dollars in their Paypal account.
