German Ebay Account problem adding bank account
 

Hello,
I have a German Stealth Ebay account and now I wanted to add my bank account which is a EU bank ( not German ) but Ebay doesnt accept it. I have tried also another bank, but same problem. Do you know what could be the problem?

They are Bulgarian phisycal banks. Not online banks

does it show the message bank is not accepted?

if it shows that not bank account but the bank is not accepted then it is likely ebay have started adding limits to EU accounts where the bank country must match ebay registration country

actually such limits are already in place on paypal , I used to have a bulgarian account from leopay and it was banned on paypal for western european paypal accounts but it was allowed for bulgarian paypal accounts

that is why try it on bulgarian ebay , it will probably work

also keep in mind that EU sellers will be reported to tax authorities from this year on with all their funds so it is very well possible that ebay decided to allow local bank accounts only meaning bank account country = ebay registration country

would german mp necessarily accept bulgarian bank - i wonder if limits have been imposed like murdered stated

eBAY or MP does not need your bank info to report to local tax authority,your seller account has the info it needs-sales $$
If it does not allow foreign bank,it may be clearance problem

bank account numbers will be reported

clearance may indeed be a problem , Bulgaria is not a part of euro zone so maybe MP in euro zone would only accept bank accounts in euro zone

Well,I am in USA,I dont think our bank accounts are reported to IRS,there is a portal where you can remit estimated tax payments via an IRS portal,then you will add your bank account number and routing number.
Also any transaction $10K or more,the bank will report to some Federal institution,but that has nothing to do with our income tax reporting.
Ayden could handle Bulgarian bank or any bank if it is willing to pay,but it wont.
I recall Paypal has no way of sending your fund to a Vietnamese bank except by wiretransfer and it would charge you for the fee.It may have changed I dont know.
Paypal handles Eastern European banks via VISA EUROPE and has to pay a fee to Visa Europe.

it is the new EU law , all EU sellers will be reported incl. turnover and bank details

DE ebay seems to have their own rules. Mostly EU accs allow any banks from EU, except some online ones.

they do not have EUR as currency though


the other option is what muzzie mentioned , germany specifically mayhave forbidden foreign bank accounts due to requirements from local tax authority

It has its own currency LEV and not Euro,so clearance could be an issue.

Yes but it doesn't work the way you say it.

Japan and china are fancy asians... but they can't use each others' banks =P

does not matter online or physical,no one is going to go thru the extra efforts for a small transaction,SWIFT costs anywhere between 35 -50 in USA these days.

So it seems like any EU IBAN can be used on any EU eBay then.

bULGARIA plans to adopt the euro and become the 21st member state of the eurozone. The Bulgarian lev has been on the currency board since 1997 through a fixed exchange rate of the lev against the Deutsche Mark and the euro. Bulgaria's target date for introduction of the euro is 1 January 2025, which would make the euro only the second national currency of the country since the lev was introduced over 140 years ago. The official exchange rate is 1.95583 lev for 1 euro.

In US,neither Fed or state could .
care less which bank you use to collect your e commerce proceeds,as long as you remit sales tax you collected(state) and report your income on the Fed tax return.
These days Ebay does it for us,the only time we have to is when we sell outside any sales venue which collect the sales tax for the seller,like in a garage sale or having your own stall in an antique mall .
The only time a state wants to see your bank account is when you are audited,they are looking for cash sales,that you sold something for cash and not collect sales tax.
