Does eBay ever send out letters for verification in EU?
 

So do eBay ever send out letters to verify EU sellers these days?

I have no problem with new IDs or phone numbers or bank account. I have a problem with postal adresses.

That was not the question. Other way around. Does eBay ever check that your postal adress exists by sending a letter?

okay well, try to ask the question differently since your original question is about ebay sending letters to verify an address..... so he did answer your question.


If your address doesn't exist, they don't even need to send a letter, an online search itself is enough. And I'm sure they have bots doing random searches

eBay has never sent a seller a letter for verification to my knowledge, it is not an accurate way of establishing if a person is there and not everybody bothers to write “not at this address” and have the bother to post it back.

The verification process is usually carried out within the platform.

Your Ebay account should have multiple addresses-your residential addr,your ship to addr,your ship from addr,your return address for goods you sold,your address to receive Ebay mail like promotions,tax documents.
they can all be the same.

no, never. verification is done online on your ID and bank account nothing esle

what is the flaw?
I use one address for all of the above for many years until I open a mail box near me.
Many sellers who work from home use one address for all

You are wrong, before 2000/2001 they sent a letter, at least in EU
