Top rate seller powerseller Thailand limited

Hi,
I am a Top rate seller so also powerseller with 2500 feedback and 99.2 %.

I m register in thailand i have only this account for my business, I m a printer so i make silk print on basic shirts, i don't sell any brands only my stuff .

The 1 october my account was limited i got this message when i try to list any items :

Alert

You've reached the selling limit for the number of items you can list. Account privileges for sellers may be limited until they establish a good track record with us and their buyers. The number of items you can list is limited until you have fulfilled past sold items. This helps us make sure you can deliver the level of customer service you need to succeed on eBay.

As you establish a good track record with your buyers through fulfillment of current sales, your limits will continue to increase automatically.

I contacted the powerseller chat, i spoke with 3 guys and not someone can understand why i get this limit, more crazy one guy from powerseller team say to me : it' s umbelivable mate ...

They told me to contact ebay singapore because now thailand depend of singapore area, but they no answer ...

I have a lot of friends stay in thailand and work with ebay and everybody got limit like that, but it is not a real limit because we can't list any items, so my point is they want push out peoples with thailand account...

When i try to open another account ( i stick the rules ) i got the same limit after list 1 or 2 items .

chow_ahim 10-21-2010 12:09 AM

eBay makes me more mad when I read things like this...it sucks I know.

rsot 10-22-2010 09:15 AM

Welcome to the forums.

Sad to hear about your case but it happens to us all in one form or another.

Read around the forums. Pick up the stealth guide. Get new accounts going once you understand how eBay works and you'll be up and running again - takes time =(

Ebay Thailand

Hi there!

I just saw your post about the suspended account.
Same happened to my three times nearly every three month.

I am an above average seller on Ebay.

Calling to the support does not help. They just tell me to get more positive feedbacks and close any open cases. Bute there are none to close.

They told me, they have stricter rules for sellers from South East Asia. Two or more low DSRs maybe enough for a limit
I asked them, what the numbers and percentages are before they place a limit because I am better than average.
They said, they can not tell me the numbers etc. because this is secret!

It sucks!

Any suggestions???

To the original poster, the problem is that you're listing too many items on the account. You're probably trying to list 300 or 400 items on an account with 2500 feedback, that's why you're hitting the limit.

so ebay try to get rid people who make sales in small profit but large quantity sales?

malrock 10-24-2010 01:22 AM

If i understand ebay, i have to stop my normal business ( handcraft shirts ) and i have to open many accounts for sell some contrefects items and make more profits.

Sorry for my staff they have to find new job the next month.

Not easy to make money without sell brands and now ebay limits our listings :attention:

The last message from ebay asia :

After receiving your letter, I immediately check your account and find
out the limits category and the reason for this limittation.
This limitation on your account is due to some aspects of your account
don't perform very well and the system will evaluate the general
performance of your accounnt,which includes dsr, feedback,bbe,disputes
and other aspects.So you'd better make all of these show good level on
your account.

Please understand that the system will automatically evaluate your
account performance to adjust/cancel the limit

There is no appeal process for sellers. The system will evaluate
sellers' performance and automatically adjust the limit.
Therefore, we recommend you to improve your account standing through
providing quality products and services and ensure they enjoy trading
with you.

Besides, you could also refer to the following tips on how to improve
your products and in turn upgrade buyer satisfaction.

· Product Quality
- Sell reliable and high quality, instead of inferior products;
- Check your items to ensure each and every piece remains intact before
shipping
- When SNAD spike occurs to certain products, end the listings to
investigate the causes;
- Change your supplier when products are poor or unstable in quality

· Item Description
- Use genuine, detailed and accurate but NOT exaggerated words;
- Use photos of your genuine items to ensure consistence;

· Item Package
- To ensure fair and reliable package to avoid possible damage during
shipment;

Your listing restrictions will be adjusted/cancelled once your account
performance improves to the system standards.

Thanks for your support and cooperation.

I appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter.

Regards,

Owen

For answer at this message , i don't have any dispute open ( ebay and include paypal ), DSR green more than 4.7 for everything ....

How my DSR can have any problem when i am a Top Rate seller ? If any problem on the account i loose the top rate ( happen one time last year ).

I hope ebay review the account every month, now i can't list any items since 24 days :cheer:

holymoly 10-24-2010 02:33 AM

You are right, not just you...a lot of countries like this have been getting BANS for no apparent reason.

System Standard

I got the same nonsense message from Ebay.

"Your listing restrictions will be adjusted/cancelled once your account
performance improves to the system standards."

I am an above average seller, so I do meet the system standard. No negs or open cases.

As you wrote, you are even a top rated seller. But this does not mean anything to them.

I had this 6 month ago and the limit lasts for 3 month. Took me 3 month to let the business grow again and than the next limit came without a warning around three weeks ago. I guess now my limit will go for 3 month again.

I do not believe the "automatic cancellation of the restriction." or weekly review like Ebay says.
The last time the limit drops after the 20th of the month together with the monthly status evaluation.

Unbelievable that really none of the limited sellers got a warning or something.
They limit even sellers with a perfect reputation.

Try to explain this **** to somebody not dealing with Ebay they can not believe whats going on there.

We are running into the same issue here on our new HK accounts. At the moment can't list more than 50 active listings. Ebay rep says we need to get more feedbacks to release the limit.

lostsub 10-31-2010 09:38 PM

I've seen Asian sellers who have been on Ebay for less than 6 months (at least with a particular I.D.) that have 30,000 listing going. Maybe they have linked accounts with other I.D.'s that have been in good standing for a long time. Is that a possible explaination?
BTW, I just bought a couple diamond drill bits from the seller I described above for $3.39 total with free shipping. It's a ridiculous price and actually anti-competitive, but not rare on Ebay in certain categories.

To answer my own question. Now that I looked again, this is a Hong Kong based seller that has other I.D.'s in good standing, so Ebay is OK with a massive amount of listings even though this I.D. is recent.

Lets not forget that the reason ebay is so paranoid is because there is a huge amount of fraud happening especially in China.
So they come up with a mathematical solution to apply across the board and its based on stuff they learned in school rather than on actual experience in business.
Have you ever seen a photo of the staff at ebay.com?
They look like most of them are under 25.

I agree, they consider China have high fraud and risk to ebay, therefore ebay have limits against sellers in these countries. Think about it, South East asian countries do believe in deception, this is in their culture and Sun Tzu encouraged this.
